Who's the poor shmuck pitching for Houston tonight?

 

Lance McCullers. Young guy making his first start of the year (shoulder problems). An effective pitcher last year. Probably wishing his season debut could be against the Braves instead of the painful reality.

 

Speaking of the Braves, in the last 4 games the Sox have scored just over half as many runs (51) as the Braves have scored all year so far (101).

hahaha. fabulous. i was always the one on BDC to start the "countdown to the YYYY playoffs" thread. usually in June or something ridiculous. it worked in 2007 and 2013.

Weather.com is saying showers starting about 7:00 and showers and light rain continuing until about 11:00. Perfect timing to rain on the game!

There should be room to schedule a double header this weekend. Sat game time is 1:05, Sun 1:35. I don't know the forecast for those days though.

The NOAA weather map is ominous. The weather report says rain from 6 to 9:45.

 

I've heard there's light rain in the area, and that the game might be delayed, but they expect to get it in tonight.

Sorry Ted - it is my son-in-laws night tonight. His mojo puts mine to sleep though. He was ready to go. Second son-in-law next Friday. Hope they get it in tonight. thanks again. We will be going next.
