I miss him on the radio with Castiglione. Oddly, the new guy sometimes sounds exactly like him. Unfortunately, he is not like him at all. This guy has no emotion in his voice, he announces popouts and grand slams and everything in between in the same monotone most of us would use to read aloud a grocery list.

I miss Ors....... to me him and Remy were TV perfection.......

 

I can't imagine hanging in watching games last year when we were so out of it with OB announcing..... total snoozefest.

2 speculations:

It's known that NESN and Orsillo had a dispute during his most recent negotiatons and NESN gave in to him.

or

I've heard speculation that Joseph Aboud may have had something to do with it. Don and Jerry were hammering him pretty hard about his nice tan several games in a row, And Aboud IS a major sponsor.. or something.,

I found late August and September to be very entertaining last year. The kids were playing and doing well, and the games were easier to watch when I had no expectations for a win. Every win was a pleasant surprise.

I did too..... it was fun, there was so much promise of what to come.

 

I guess I just prefer Orsillo's humor...... that guy cracked me up nightly.....and I think it fit perfectly with where we were in the standings..
