After Bradley's second triple, someone on the NYYfans gamethread suggested subtly that he might be on PEDs. I wish I'd checked this site out years ago, this is truly hilarious. Also, Yankees suck.

It is still too early to know exactly what we have in Porcello. Taking his 5 starts this season along with the last two months of last season, plus everything that was debated in his favor prior to last season, there is reason to be optimistic.

 

Regardless of how it ends up, I will defend the contract extension until my fingers fall off, just like I will defend Buchholz' option being picked up.

 

I know, I'm just a homer. And yet somehow, I still don't like Price's contract or the price we paid for Kimbrel, which is not to be mistaken with not liking Price or Kimbrel on our team.

Why should he admit anything? He made a clean sweep on his Porcello bets last year, including one against me. With regard to my bet, does anyone know a legal way to send American beer to Mexico? I also noticed that iortiz has not been offering Porcello bets this year. What was the Bogey on those bets -- a 4 ERA?

Anyways, it still too early to know. Thus far his tenure in Boston is still lamentable -overall.

 

On the other hand he has shown in recent games an improvement, but again vs the weakest team in baseball and vs NYY who are struggling. We need at least a season.

 

IMO, He isn't an ace. He isn't even a a true NO. 2. His ceiling IMO is 4.0 ERA i.e. Decent No. 3. Reallistacally? No.4-5.

 

We'll see though.

The bogey was a 4 ERA. I am not taking that bet again. He is pitching very well, but hoping for an ERA under 4 is probably too much to hope for. I would be extremely happy with an ERA around 4 and 200 innings. That would be very solid production.

LOL! I think I'm going to be in August in NY and Boston again. I tell what, I will buy a couple of bottles of great tequila and you put the beers --I like beer as chaser with tequila- and make a bbq or something while watching a Red Sox game.

 

Porcello is 2.7 ERA right now. I think I offered a sign bet to U? But I'm not sure what he decided.

 

 

I can open the Porcello bet again this year for those interested. It could be sign bet for a month or a case of beer or something just to make it interesting and fun. The rules would be the same but it would only apply for those who are regular posters and have at least 3000 posts --Hitchi already own me and I haven't seen him again LOL!

Sig bet, 2 out of 3: ERA, K's, and another stat or your choosing. Over/Under to be discussed.

 

What would be the over/under? Based on the projections you made a year ago regarding him? The other stat could be HR/FB%.
