The Napoli is horrendous. He look absolutely lost. Chase high pitches, swing at craps, takes center cuts sliders.

Sox should tell him to move back to catcher or hes heading to triple a. That way we can move pablo to first and put hanley at third.

Never been sold on Naps. I like BigPapi's idea of putting him at catcher with Swihart and reducing our error total at 3B.

Because putting a new guy at 1b would totally reduce errors?

Pete, this is the worst baseball that I have seen in Red Sox uniforms. Even bad Red Sox teams could pound the baseball, and they played exciting high scoring games. This is crap in every aspect of the game. I remember a very hapless Yankee team like this, but that was all the way back in 1968.

I see the same but you have been paying stricter attention of most of the years than I have. It's just horrendously bad.

And as you said, they are not even playing exciting ball.

1 run score, beside that 5 run inning on Sunday, the offense can't do anything nearly every game. The team hits an MLB worst .220 after the 6th inning.

Man, Stephen King couldn't write anything more horrifying than this season.

I don't know, Christine was quite horrifying - horrifying that such a terrible piece of writing ever got published.

No, spud, I haven't. They're the worst sox team I've seen in awhile. that was the funny thing about the sox from 03-11 or so. Fundamentals, good pitching and high OBP. This team has none. It's a collection of guys with baseball card stats who don't know how to play the game who are being paid way more than they are worth. It seems the sox have gotten away from getting best players available and have decided to play the "I'm smarter than you" approach to building a team. All the while, they have let major talent walk and have made some questionable draft decisions which has left a bit of a hole in development. I know the sox have talent in the minors, but in terms of MLB ready guys, you're seeing most of it from a position player perspective. And what you're seeing ain't good. The 2013 title must have felt great for you guys, but it gave Ben confidence and allowed him to forget what helped him win that title aside from a massive amount of luck. I saw through his BS in ST, but I doubt anyone saw this level of performance. They're currently in line for the 4th pick in next year's draft, with a real shot at #1. You have to change the decision makers.

I hate to say it. But, Bobby Valentine could've won with the 2013 team. That team came together because of what happened to our city. They weren't going to let anything stop them that year.

I'm still not sure that the Sox FO will can Farrell during the season. Especially after giving him an extension.

But it is getting interesting to see what they will do.

He's got to go. If anything just to shake things up. They don't even have to make up a new excuse, they can copy and paste it from the pitching coaches firing. "He didn't connect with the team."

I'm more worried about the rookies getting tainted than saving the season.

All those extensions look pretty bad these days including Farrell's.

Hopefully somehow they get rid of them when we become sellers; it doesn't matter whatever it takes in order to clean the house for once and for all.

Valentine would have sunk that team on his own. Just like the 2012 team.

What's the purpose of shaking things up? They'd have to go on a massive tear to get back in it. There's no Morgan Magic this year.
