Well call me a fairweather fan. But, this is why I'm not watching games any more. This team has broken my heart too much in my life and I need a break.

My dollar says that in tonight's press conferences Farrell will say something to the effect of "we'll start playing better starting tomorrow".

It will have a marginal affect at best. I'm sure they aren't worried.

If they become the Cubs, wait and see.

Step number one would be to stop treating Holt like a side bitch. He deserves to be an everyday starter in a fixed position more than any 3 other players combined.

Yep. He is one of the players that performs every day.

I don't buy into this "he'll be exposed" s***.

That is just baseball myth to me until it happens. And if it does happen, so f***ing what? I'd much rather take my chances with players like him, than the lumps of coal tha Ben broke the bank to acquire.

Paint it any way you want to. This team just plain sucks. There are some good players, but overall this is a last place team.

Period.

With a last place manager who has lost the dugout.

I'm still going to watch as many games as possible. I want to see players like Betts, Pedroia, Holt, Taz , ERod, and Swilhart.

I have confidence that they come to play and to win each day.

Farrell: I wouldn't write this team off

HAHAHAHAHAHA, did dis dude just say dat?

Of course he did. His job depends on it.

Mets sold high on that guy.
I am not the stat guy, but he has probably earned his salary over the last two seasons with the Jays taking into consideration the inflated market for starting pitchers. He pitched over 200 innings each season striking out 170+ batters each year and winning 14 games each year. The prospects that the Mets got in return haven't done much yet.

Wonder if this is the worst loss of the season.

Probably the most dramatic loss, but my vote for worst was that one a few nights ago when they managed to lose without even having allowed a single earned run.

His specialty was relieving the starters, though.

He came inwhen he needed to. Too bad he couldn't switch hands like the A's guy.

I'm with ya Spud. Although I do have to admit a lot of my watching these days is on Gameday, because it's less painful.

This team is 20-32 after their 7-3 start.
This is a very telling stat that illustrates the magnitude of how bad the team has played. Edited by a700hitter

Man am I down on this team. But you are right, there are some positives. I keep saying if we lose this series I've lost hope. I think that last Baltimore series did it for me.

If you add Xander to that list that is some good young talent. I'm also a sucker for some Buchholtz too. He's like watching an M.C. Escher painting or something to me..... sometimes incredible, always bizarre.

I zonked out after work last night. One of those ones where I slept through the alarm and didn't wake up till morning.

The first thing I did as usual is check the box scores and saw it was an incredible high scoring game and we lost. My first thought was, damn, those people on TalkSox who watched the game must have suffered.

I salute you....

Yeah I somehow forgot to list Xander. I want to see him continue his development too. I'm very pleased with how far his game has come. And still he is very young.
