Also, I'm a little pissed because I fear that I won't be able to watch the Sox game.

Da Brunes are playing at 6:00 and I suspect NESN will broadcast that game and probably air the Sox game on NESN Plus which I don't get on my cable.

Balls!

If anyone has a link to a clean, reliable site where I can watch the Sox game I'll put you on my Christmas list if you direct me to it! A few days ago someone posted on a game thread a link to a site. Unfortunately, I could not really see because the site said I needed to download some video player. I did not do this because I was afraid of downloading a virus or some other malware crap.

Help please?

No surprise about Roberts DFA. The only surprise is that there was no one in the organization that they could have brought up in his place. Nava hit over 300 last year and has proven versitility. Unlike Roberts, Nava has value on the open market if nothing else. He plays a respectable outfield and is a switch hitter. Once Victorino comes back I suspect they'll option Bradley before dumping Nava

Cool!

Why get rid of Nava?

Because he has underperformed for the first two and a half weeks of the season, and since he has never done anything else ever, we can safely assume he will continue to underperform until the heat death of the universe.

No, because he has to have a .900 OPS to just be a below average regular. He's one of the worst defensive OF's in baseball history. Great analysis though.

It's on MLB Network depending on where you live.

Never done anything else ever????? Are you s***ing me Youk? In a mostly platoon situation last season he hit 303, slugged 12 homers and drove in 66 runs with an OBA of, what, about .385? Sorry but that dog won't hunt.

Holt starting at 3B, Roberts DFA

Now instead of sending him down to Pawtucket when no one else claims him and be faced with the possibility of seeing this turd again, this time they need to release a guy they DFA. Like Roberts and his 105 average.

As for tonight, Lackey needs to keep the ball in the park and continue his success against the Orioles by pitching a solid game while the bats have to wake up.

Agreed. Roberts is what he is. AAA depth. Fred will be calling for the release of Holt and Herrera in a couple of weeks, and then Heiker Meneses, Justin Henry, and Mike McCoy after each of them fail to hit .300 with 20 bombs. Cecchini might get mixed in, and Fred will ponder if he, like Bogaerts, is a choker when he isn't producing like Wade Boggs immediately.

What is the point of the replay system if the umps don't reverse the call?

It's almost like they're trying to sabotage the thing.

This replay system is f***ing broken. That's like the 10th time this year that I've watched a challenge of a clearly blown call only for them to look at it for 5 minutes and keep it anyway.

f*** umpires so much.
