I just don't think Demps can out-pitch Workman at this point even considering Workman's lack of experience. Does not mean I think Workman is a great option but he is a better option than any other the Sox have at this point...surely a better option than Demps if you need somebody to start a game.

Buchholz is throwing a sim game right now.

Huge step. Precursor to a rehab outing. Then probably will start against a less than stellar offense. Sox play the ChiSox from 8/30-9/1. Seems to line up well.

That would be a big help.

Buchholz declared the sim game a success, will throw a bullpen session on Friday in LA followed by a minor league rehab start next week. Sounds like he's getting back into the starters routine of throwing a game, 2-3 days later throwing a pen, then 1-2 days after that throwing a game. Should be in a minor league game by Monday/Tuesday, followed by a start against the White Sox, probably on Saturday.

EDIT: Scratch that. Now being reported he will need more than 1 rehab start, so push it back to the Tigers or Yankees.

Looks like we'll see Dempster 1 more time.

SF Giants just tweeted out that Zito will start tomorrow for them in place of Gaudin.

Gotta think Drew is going to get 2 days off now. Can't imagine him playing against any lefties now w Bogaerts up. And the Sox face 2 more lefties in LA.

Sox are really well set up to sweep in SF. That would be nice heading for LA. Having traveled a good deal in my life, when going coast to coast it never was the day of the flight that gave me any trouble. It was always the first full day after the day of the flight when I felt off tilt. This game might be tougher in that regard than last night's was. Still though, a great chance to sweep I think since they should take tonight's game.

Are the Giants asking to lose? XB is probably playing an extra game now.

Not only do the Giants support the Boston Strong move, they support the playoff movement too. Thank you San Francisco.

Ok Mr. No Mojo. Don't mess with my line up postings. It's been pretty good for the most part this year.

I start school in a week. I'll be busy. Let me have my fun until then.

I thought you dumped him for Dumps- er, Dempster.

Nope. Never thought Dempster was hot. Just LOVED that he drilled THE FRAUD. Peavy is hot.

With your complete lack of MOJO? Okay, if you insist.

Come on man, she's been doing it for years. We always look forward to VA posting the lineups.

It's the same thing. Why does it matter who's doing it?

I hope you let Podsednik down easy.

I'm just saying it's been like that for years. Think of it like a game thread. If someone wins the night before, would you ruin it? I'm not taking this serious by the way, I'm just letting you know how things are done around here.
