The funny thing is that Kazmir used to own the Red Sox hard. Hopefully he doesn't come up with some of that magic from old times.

Kazmir is 8-8 with a 4.06 ERA 1.48 WHIP and .249 BAA in 139 2/3 innings (25 Starts) against Boston. He does have a shutout against us so I imagine he was really good against us in the earlier years.

The guy used to have a nasty slider before his arm problems. I don't remember if he had arm surgery, but he is still young and reports were that he got his velocity back. If he can still throw the slider, he could still have a career.

Ellsbury's not running because there's a lefthanded pitcher, Yan Gomes has thrown out 62% of baserunners and the heart of the order is batting.

In Station's defense Aceves was just activated yesterday. I'd still vote Doubront. In prior years Dice-K and Lackey would receive votes.
