This may be a tad early but f*** it anyway.

Hard times have fallen upon the Red Sox nation, our noble band of heroes have stumbled to a 3-7 record in their last 10 conquests and have fallen into a tie with the denizens that populate the peasant laden kingdoms of New York and some toxic shithole called Baltimore. In these trying times, it has become necessary for your wonderful King, the great and fair BornToRun, to return you all to the great times he presided over in early April. A time in which the 25 man army we know as the Red Sox destroyed the opposition in beatings so spectacular that Rodney King was flinching at the blows from beyond the grave. A 7 game win streak stood as King BTR's greatest achievement when he took a leave of absence due to the tiring of his epic mojo. Now, he has returned to bring back peace, stability, and triumph to the kingdom.

His mojo has regained its strength and is throbbing with excitement, ready to slither out from behind the zipped castle walls and impose its will upon the rest of the Major Leagues.

All Hail the King!

 Restart your rejuvenated mojo and send us off on a run.

No no, we need the Papelbon discussion. That way we can have a scapegoat for every time they lose. It helps us forget some of the bigger issues, like Catcher or the futility of 3B.

Salty has reinstated himself as my personal scapegoat.

Like you said yesterday, I was really impressed with Middlebrooks at bat in the 8th, fouling off pitches and working the count.

But.....then I looked at the pitch graph, and while he certainly did a great job of working the count, boy did he foul off some pitches that should have landed on the Mass Pike.

Those pitches are middle middle. Hopefully he's seeing the ball better, and those pitches will turn into extra base hits. We need it from somewhere.

I know one thing, we better do some early damage on Ramon Ortiz. Dude is 40 and has hardly pitched in the bigs the last few years.

And the lack of an adequate 5th starter. That 5th spot has the potential for becoming a black hole in the rotation which will accelerate the demise of an already crippled bullpen.

Webster can become an adequate 5th starter IMO, implosion aside. We'll see.

We totally would have swept the Twins if not for all the blown saves, amiright?

Of course, you should know by now that you are never right, so don't ask.

Jays bats are heating up and Lester pitched worse in his 2nd start against Toronto. However, the Sox need to pound Ramon Ortiz tonight as he hasn't started a game in 22 months.

There is no question in my mind that Webster will be back. I even think he will be back this year. I just don't think he will be back here and stay here enough to be installed in the rotation. I expect him to be in the rotation next year.

I still think that Webster will be up here to take Doubronts slot before the end of the month.

I also wonder if the Sox look to move early on a guy like Bud Norris or a larger move like Cliff Lee.

We cannot be burning out the bullpen with Doubront as the 5th starter.

Cliff Lee makes no sense for the Red Sox.

He's old, expensive, and would require multiple prospects to acquire given his recent performance.

I was wondering about Norris myself. Wonder what Houston will want for him.

Not much at this point. They just need decent prospects.
