What a stiff this guy is. Why couldn't we get him earlier. 9th inning...6 run lead and he give up dinger and worse than that walks the next guy

Wow....well could not be a better time for a wake up call. But I think we will here more of the "its only one game stuff".

Tonite, Breslow heats up again, and has nothing. They were better off pitching him 2 innings last night and somebody else tonite--one fewer heatup. He has just come off the DL. Speier says he was throwing 88 tonite.

Dempster actually out-pitched Diamond and did not get rewarded for it. Please please go back to the offensive approach we had at the start of the season.

For some reason (and I don't have numbers in front of me to refute/support this notion) I feel like now that we finally have some semblance of a decent pitching staff/bullpen, our offense is not as potent as it was in previous seasons. I guess we can't have our cake and eat it too. ********.

It was not going to be as potent from a power numbers perspective. However the patient at the plate, take the ball back up the way it came in, speed oriented offense we featured earlier in the season is and was much better suited to this team than what they are doing now. That offense really took off when the guys at the top kept doing what they were doing and left the power stuff to Ortiz and Naps and to some extent WMB and Salty. Of course WMB and Salty have been off their game but the Sox have got to stay the course as far as patience at the plate, smart aggression with the right guys on the base paths and everybody doing their part in the offense instead of suddenly everybody trying to bash down the walls.

WMB needs to get his head out of his ass, we need to call up Lavarnway and give Saltala-suckia the boot. He's more or less Russell Branyan wearing a catcher's mask. Hell, I bet Branyan could play better D or call a better game than this goober.

Dempster with a very honest appraisal of the balk call sorta' makes the NESN talking heads look kinda' foolish or at least blind.

But But But..Dempster did not get out-pitched in my honest opinion. Our offensive approach and effort tonight was simply s***.

True you can make the case (and I often do) that if the other guys gives up fewer runs he has out-pitched you but our offensive approach was such crap tonight that I even have to flip on my usual position in this regard.

At least all of the other ALE teams are tied in their games so we might not be the only ones losing tonight.

Come on Stallion, that's pretty s***** consolation and you know it. We played like we've actually run out of gas-----after only thirty plus games. I hope we suddenly get our s*** together because a few more games like this and it will seem like 2012 again only without bumbling Bobby. Tonight was an embarassment and Dempster deserved better. We better warm our bats up tomorrow.

Ciriaco is our utility guy right? The guy can't even change a light bulb right.

Give him a break, with Hanrahans' arm strained and Aceves in the minors, he doesn't have the two guys to turn the ladder.

God damn it.

Make that a double God Damn It----and to keep my colleagues here from hearing going on a violent and arsenic laced rant, I'll simply say good night to all of you and leave you with a.....TOMORROW WILL BE A BETTER DAY FOR US.

Tons of DP and a dead O killed us tonight. Dempster is surprising, even the more optimistic.

We need to win series against these kind teams.

I am always happy to watch a baseball game, especially a Sox game. As far as the result goes, I hate it when they plsy stupidly...with their heads up their asses. They waisted a very well pitched game by Dempster, which is not to say that Diamond did not pitch well. Diamond is just the kind of guy that gives the Sox fits, especially when they are going through one of their dunce cap phases.

So Dempster's performance was encouraging and the fact the Farrell recognized that his team was playing like s*** and he was not going to just stand for it was encouraging. He tried like hell to get himself tossed from this game, I suspect to try to wake these guys out of their stupor.

Wow, the offense really failed miserably.

At least Papi continued his streak.

I liked Dempster's performance, finally managed to stay focused early in the game, and I really can't blame him for the men Ciriaco helped get on base.

Bullpen, on the other hand...

If I'm at Fenway losing to the Yankees, people around me better not be singing Sweet Caroline. I'd probably be losing my s*** and telling people to stfu. It's one thing being down a run, but when it's like this game it's just not acceptable.

No you won't.

They have really very gradually slipped into this ******** offense. The regulars are winging like mad men all over the order. David has remained David. The rest of them have jumped off into the deep end.....

Drew's taking pitches. So is Pedey.
