Has TS switched the way ads are being shown? I'm using a new computer and WOOF!

 

I don't mind the ones on the top and bottom of the page, but the ones embedded in people's posts are big and ugly.

Thank you for closing the Covid / Political threads . Good riddance to them . They brought out the absolute worst in people. Amen . This place will be much better off without them .

I am glad that those COVID threads have been locked. IMO, they should be deleted. They are a blight on this forum, and they spilled over to numerous other threads. I asked for the mods to intervene several times, but they were MIA for months. Allowing it in the beginning was a mistake and it spiraled out of control from there.

 

I will make a political analogy and if the mods don't like it and want to ban me, so be it. The dereliction of the mods had the direct effect of turning this once fun forum into the internet equivalent of Portland where night after night we had a riot. If you guys don't want to moderate this forum, maybe you should pass it onto someone else who will look after it.

No, I believe the point was why make a political analogy at all when two threads were just locked for being overly political and toxic? Seems inappropriate to do so.

I was just tired of a few posters carrying their political opinions and rants into several other threads, and continued to do so despite requests from several posters not to do so, especially when you were allowing politics in the "Anything Goes" thread.

 

My feeling is that if you want to discuss politics, go to a political forum.

 

At any rate, we could probably use a couple of moderators who are here on a regular basis.

 

And let me also say that I think this is a great forum and it's usually a fun place to come to post about baseball. We just need to lose the politics running over into the other threads.

Google turned on some stupid auto ad optimization which put ads everywhere. I removed it, should be back to normal now.

Oops I broke some things! There are some errors displaying in a few spots but I think functionality should be largely unaffected. I'll try to clean up errors as I catch them but please alert me to any weird functionality issues.
