Oh, ok. That clears up nothing. The more things change, the more they stay the same. It is always all about you, you being stalked or you being trolled. Anyone he doesn't agree with you or questions you is wrong or a troll.

mvp and UN are 2 of the better posters out here. You're pretty cool too when you aren't constantly defending SBF, who is and always will be one of the most annoying posters out here ever and kinda like that guy from work you mentioned earlier.

Regardless, hope all is well with you and yours. Keep us posted during your Spring Training trip. ST cannot get here soon enough for me. I hate the off season and Winter in general.

I might order a Napoli jersey.......;)

Sista----Just for your edification, Bensonhurst, as mentioned by your secret lover MVP, meant a racial battle some years ago. For the record Sista, most of the people in that Italian-Irish and Jewish neighborhood condemned the violence out of hand and those perpetrators were arrested and jailed. For the record, I don't give a hoot in hell about your opinion of my annoying you. You hardly ever talk baseball on this board, but are always sure to put your two cents worth in to usually defend a ridiculous argument that not defensible.

You might also get a copy of Sports Illustrated and read the excerpt from Francona's upcoming book. You will find that much of what I have said that "annoyed" you was right there in the article. Good advice Sista!!!!!!!!

I think he was suggesting that I was exhorting you at 70 years of age to kidnap UN get on a plane to Brooklyn and engage in a racially motivated physical attack on another poster.:dunno::lol:

72 Ted, 72!!!! I'm even older than you thought. Now how on earth could I accomplish that? First UN would have to be a member of a certain minority, then I would have to hire a couple of thugs to kidnap him, and find up a couple of ignorant yahoos to beat him up, that is, after I take a long plane ride from California.

Well it's the silly season and I notice VA is back so I think I will be kept busy well into ST. Good to hear you're going to Fort Myers this March. I went in 2006 and 2007 and hope to go again in a year or two. I hear their new plant is a stunner. BTW, I actually met VA there in 2007 and in my scrapbook of the 2007 season I have a picture of the two of us with my arm around her and both of us smiling. I guess she liked me then.

Oh well, win some, lose some. See you tomorrow Ted.

The last I'll speak on the subject...

You guys act like Brooklyn was some mythical verbal sparring ground 50 years ago. However, it seems all it gave you was the ability to use emoticons and come up with dumb nicknames like Varipuke. It clearly didn't give you the ability to listen to anyone but yourselves.

It's just too easy to get you "sistas" all worked up over nothing. Good day to you, Queenie and Johnny Come Lately...

Wasn't addressing you SBF. Didn't mention Bensonhurst. Don't care what you think about anything. And I am definitely not your sista'. I was clearly addressing a700. Annoy someone else, thanks!

Current speculation is that Chris Carpenter will be the guy cut from the 40-man roster to make room for Napoli. Dan Butler, and Alex Hassan are also options.

I'd love to see the Red Sox trade off Salty for prospects at this point.

White Sox are still looking for a LHH C to platoon with Flowers. Not sure they get Floyd at this point but CWS is a possible destination for Salty none the less.

Well s***. Napoli for one year, at $5 million dollars. Ben, your succulent breasts have done it again.

This is a huge, all upside move. They have the flexibility to get another very good arm, or bat with the savings if they want.

Soooooo.... He took a 1yr $5mil deal after accepting a 3 yr $39 mil contract? His hip must be horrendous

It can't be any worse than A-Rod's hip! :harhar:

Wow Palodios, what a discount this turned out to be---$5 million for one instead of $39 million for three. My arithmetic tells me we now have $34 million dollars available to use and I hope they use it to get us a decent pitcher or hitter. If the White Sox really need a LH hitting catcher we have Salty to give them for Floyd or a trade with some other team---like the Dodgers who have three extra starting pitchers. I'm expecting Cherington not to sit on this and get something done now that he has some real extra cash.

It's $5 million guaranteed, but according to Rob Bradford it could be worth close to $13 million if Napoli doesn't go on the DL because of the hip.

Ahh, the Curt Schilling Special. That can work out in our favor. At the very least we've mitigated the risk nicely.

Now throw on a couple mutual options and there ya go.

No you were not addressing me but you referred to me in a nasty way. Just don't mention me at all and we'll all be happy. I have no desire to interact with you either because I can't learn anything except how to post smilies and some non-sensical one liners that fall flat.

Believe me, you annoy me no end with your total lack of baseball knowledge and your penchant to wave the pom poms at everything the Red Sox do, and thank God you're not my sister. Your husband has my deepest sympathy and this IS THE LAST POST I WILL EVER SEND YOUR WAY. Just keep my name out of anything you write and both of us will be happy.

Signature worthy.

So Fred, can we have some ranting posts filed with diatribes about the incompetence of the FO? Because it seems that not only did they get the player they wanted, but got him on their terms. Ben the genius?

You wouldn't last 10 minutes in Brooklyn, today or in any era. The stupid kids and nerds made better arguments than you. You are really a dolt.

You're kidding, right?

Here's the incompetence gang's reaction for you:

"Benny the Boob got lucky on this one because of Napoli's bum hip. It was nothing Ben did. Meanwhile, while he let this thing drag on forever, we could have signed the healthy and much better Adam LaRoche for 2 years and 24 million."

Haha you guys are on fire today!

It is even better than that Bell.

"Ben has been snookered on the deal." Napoli knows that his surgery is so eminent that he took the $5m 1 year deal so that he could make some income on the side while recovering from going under the knife. The plan is to trip and fall somewhere around 1st base (ala' Bailey) the first day of the season and then be off to surgery and a vacation bought and paid for by the Sox. Sox FO goes into extreme depression and based on their recent luck around 1st ask the league if they can just rope it off and award hitters a double for anything that falls to the ground that gets over or gets through the infield. Sox ground crews rerouting the base paths as we speak.:D:D

Reports coming in mentioned that Rangers actually offered Napoli more money than the Red Sox, but he went to Boston because he would have a more defined role here.

I basically lived in Bensonhurst for a year. Nice try though Mayor McPedo.

I love the one year deal on Naps. I really think this works out well in transitioning to younger players in the near future. If he stays healthy and hits well, and they get one more good starter we can compete for a wild card.

ps, I don't think anyone here would last 45 minutes in WY.

Like I said you couldn't last. I'm a BayRidge boy. The Bensonhurst boys never had anything on us. They could lift a ton, but many couldn't spell it. What street did you "basically" live on in Bensonhurst?

If you believe $5 million is chump change, it's not such a bad risk. The downside is he doesn't play 10 games, or hits .227 again. In which case they take a hit at 1B. But then if their pitching doesn't turn around, it won't make any difference if Nap earns $5 mill or the full $13 mil.
