Cue a700 - "Cody Ross is a platoon player, he's not an everyday RF"

Ross will be fine. I hope they keep him. He may be a platoon player, but not in the true sense of the word. I would play him for 120-130 games.

Ross is a platoon player. His stats reflect that. If he wasn't he'd cost a lot more.

Maybe just saving AGons back potential aggravation.

Jerry said Gonzalez has tightness in his back. Hope this isn't going to be a recurring issue.

AGons may have just come back a little to early. I don't think his back went out again on him as that feels completely different from tightness. Probably means there is still some inflammation back there through. Wish they had a day off tomorrow.

Gonzo is back' date=' Hopefully, he didn't lose the stroke he had going before the All Star break. His timing was the best it had been all season.[/quote']

Seems I recall a few years back he had a power drought the first half in SD? Got hot during the summer and hit a lot of HRs.

Late inning pen putting guys on base again.

I keep reading great things about the Sox BP, but I don't see it. They do shuffle a lot of pitchers in every game. One of them is bound to be hit.

That is all its about at this point. Maybe Ells play will convince the Sox to try to do something interesting at the trade deadline. I just don't think they will be able to make the kind of deal they need to make but hey.....if they just keep winning games what more can you ask for.

We been asking for that all season though and they are.......one game over 500

If we get close enough to the wildcard before the trade deadline' date=' I'm going to ask for that day off from work.[/quote']

We're only 1.5 back man

Yeaaaa!! Now let's destroy the white sox!! They are not that good and Youk has been mostly walking for them besides his player-of-the-week week. Red Sox can definitely take. 3/4... But will need some damn run support. Ellsbury looks like he is getting hot already and HONESTLY, I expect the same from CC. He has got to be hungry like the wolf to play ball!!!!

So Crawford is coming back tomorrow. I am thrilled, myself. I can't freaking wait for this guy to step in and be a game changer, because that's what's going to happen.

Regardless of whether you agree with me or not, here's my question - What is your lineup tomorrow night?

I would go:

Ellsbury

Crawford

Middlebrooks

Ortiz

Gonzalez

Ross

Salty

Aviles

Ciriaco

And by the way, I'm watching video of Crawford. His stance has closed by a significant amount.

Video from this year - http://www.milb.com/multimedia/vpp.jsp?content_id=23043647&sid=t533

Video from last year - http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/video/play.jsp?content_id=18359647&c_id=mlb

There is a massive, massive difference. He's closed his stance by around 6-7 inches, easy. Maybe more. I would say his heel is closer now than his toe was last year.
