It wasn't back at his face. It was well off to the side and he should have had it. He also should not have given up 4 hits and a hit batter. The guy just s*** on himself. It's not the fault of one missed strike call.

 

1 missed strike followed by back to back K's.

 

I'm not letting Beckett off the hook. He blew that inning. But you can't let the ump off the hook either. Beckett sucked and got dicked.

It's great to get our guys back, but what difference will it make if our pitchers keep spotting the other teams 3 and 4 runs in the first inning of every game.

It's not going to happen every game. You just have to trust that your SP is going to figure it out. Gotta trust their track record. Just like you trust that Gonzo would figure it out.
