Indeed. Lombardi or bust.

And now they're indisputably the team of the 2000's' date=' at least so far with a HOF coach and a QB who is at least top 3 all time.[/quote']Disputed by Big Blue who beat them twice. Don't forget that their HOF coach was cast off by the Giants when the Tuna left. They are johnny come latelys with ugly uni's

Oh I agree with you all the way. Those two top that list. TB is the greatest QB of all time without question' date=' some people just haven't had their eyes opened yet and I put the top 3 in there for them. But TB and BB aren't done yet. I think we have another championship or two still left to celebrate before theyre done.[/quote']But he can't beat Peyton's little brother.

Ill say this, Ill root for the Pats every week when they are not playing the Eagles, and that should not be hard since they are in different conferences. Same goes for the Phillies when they are not playing the Sox.

Brady is 100% head and shoulders, no argument can be made otherwise, better than Eli and it isn't even close.

Correction.... He couldn't beat the giants defense-without a healthy gronkowski BTW

Apparently it's bradys fault that he was getting routinely put on his ass in 2007 and Wes couldn't hang onto the ball this year.

It reminds me of all the excuses that Laker fans used to make for that loser Wilt the Stilt in comparisons to Bill Russell. Wilt was so much better, but he always lost to the Celtics.

I really hate to get into an argument with " the king " , but you should be experienced enough to know that you can't , in good conscious , compare basketball to football? Basketball is a total team sport where wilt would physically play against bill:... When have you ever seen Brady and manning on the field playing against each other at the same time? Brady plays the giants defense and Eli played the pats defense?

Please tell me how many QB's you've seen take c-class and b-class wr's ( for the most part ) and shotty defenses to 5 super bowls in 11 seasons?

Brady plays most of his games against a very inferior division.

The AFC east isn't the best division in the nfl, but it's not the worst either

Is that the measure of QB greatness... Super Bowl titles? I don't think so. I'd have to make a list to see where Brady would fall, but there are a number of guys ahead of him. Let's not forget that he plays in an era where there are a ton of rules protecting QBs and wide receivers.

What defines greatness to you? SB appearances? SB titles? Records? Wins? Win/loss ratio? Td-int ratio? Best 100 gm win/loss record? I can go on and on

Where Eli and the giants have been 8-8' date=' 9-7 consistently?[/quote']I didn't say that Eli was better than Brady--- at least not yet. But he does play in a much tougher division.

There are lots of different measures and then there are the challenges of comparing guys across generations. There are plenty objective measures of greatness, but ranking the greats is largely subjective.

Have you seen the numbers he's put up? The records? The game winning drives? Two Super Bowl MVP's? He's a top QB league with B and C talent and then he gets Moss and Welker and he slaughters the record books. The guy led a Super Bowl winning drive at 24 years old after taking the job because of injury. There is not one QB who you can say is head and shoulders better than Brady. The man is one of the top best the game has ever seen, probably the best.

I never said that anyone was head and shoulders better than him, just that IMO quite a few are ahead of him. Numbers don't matter because the rules have changed over the years making it hard to compare across eras. I saw most of the greats, everyone from Unitas to the present. Brady is great. I don't doubt that, but not the greatest, IMO.

I was born and raised in Los Angeles and since I was a little boy, I've only followed one professional sports team - the Boston Red Sox. I went to two baseball games at the L.A. Coliseum - the second All Star game in 1959 and the exhibition game between the Dodgers and Red Sox in 2008. I grew up in the shadow of Dodger Stadium and the only games I attended there were when the Angels played the Red Sox during the 1962-1965 seasons and the Red Sox-Dodgers interleague series in 2002.

I HATE football, basketball, hockey, soccer, rugby, 43-man Squamish, the Olympics, badminton and any other sport you can think of. So there.

That 2008 game was cool. Papi was putting 120k on their feet during BP.

You're a homer here, sorry. The Patriots also won 11 games without him all year the next season. Brady didn't slaughter the books, Manning's best year was still better by miles than last year, and the undefeated season by a small amount. He had a year where he made Brandon Stokley a 1,000 yard receiver, and he is the only quarterback who has as much playcalling freedom as he has. Peyton Manning is the best, probably ever. Even when Brady won the unanimous MVP, Manning had almost 1,000 more yards, and 3 less TDs. His offense is junk without him, see last year, where they won 2 games without him. If you ever had a question of whether Manning was the most valuable player in the NFL, last year that question should have been answered.

Brady has always had 2-3 elite receiving options since becoming a truly elite QB productionwise.

This is simply false.
