Yanks lose two out of three... when they should have at least flipped the script has to be demoralizing to say the least

Absolute complete heartbreaker. And what's even worse. They have to face Haren and Weaver in their next 2 games.

Reddick has a very live bat, and I like how he doesn't pull everything. He hits it where its pitched. I like the way he takes the pitch to the opposite field.

A great start by Garcia, solo shots by Nunez and Gardner. But in the end the smoke and mirrors simply weren't enough.

I hope Crawford gets a day off from everyone s***ing on him considering he was 9-for-10. Same goes for Tito's whose bunt play helped tie the game.

It's so nice to have those redheaded step children back in second place where they belong. Hopefully that's the last they sniff the division lead all year.

Crawford now up to .260. That's pretty respectable considering how he started the year. I've said this before. I don't care about how he started. If he can give us the .310/.355/.480 Crawford we signed from here on out, especially in the post season, I'll be gleaming

No s***... need to kick some ass in Minnesota this week while the Yanks take it on the chin against the Halos

The Yankees always have a hard time against the Angels (right at .500 for the past 3 seasons). Plus, they're facing Haren (somehow Weaver got bumped). We need to take advantage of this and make it sting.

Sox play 3 @ MIN, 3 @ SEA. NYY plays 3 v LAA (1 vs Haren), and 3 vs TB (Price, Hellickson, Shields, tough to win a series against those 3).

Lets finally start to separate ourselves.

Yep. No reason why we can't sweep Minnesota or at the very least take two out of three. They're playing horrible baseball right now.

Am I really expected to sleep tonight? I have to be at work in 6.5 hours. No chance of me getting over this win within the next hour. That leaves about 4 hours of sleep. Hmm...how many sick days do I have left?

I think Reddick was pissed at you. Keep up the good work!

Absolutely brutal AB by Reddick there. He's been the goat of the night so far.

If REddick hadn't already gone, in anyone's minds, from "the replacement right fielder" to "the right fielder" then he just did.

I don't know how I'll be able to sleep either.

I can't believe that game started at 8:10. I felt like it started it like noon and just finished.

Tremendous performance again by Beckett..

Sucks he gets no credit for the win though.

I feel your pain. I have to get up for school at 5:30 and sometimes these baseball games kill me haha.

I just got back from the game. f***ing awesome win.

You and BornToRun are soooooo lucky. I think Coco went to a game with a walkoff as well right Coco? Anyways, glad you had fun. Btw BornToRun if you read this. next gamethread is still yours it's your mojo not mine.

That's the third walk off I've been to in my life.

2004 - David McCarty hit a walk off homer in the bottom of the 13th,

2010 - Pedroia got a walk off against the dodgers.

2011 - today.

Today was the best.

On the subject of walk-offs for Scutaro, his walkoff HR against Rivera was one of only 5 he's allowed, the others were to Bill Selby, Bill Mueller (I vaguely recall that), Vernon Wells, and Ichiro.

EDIT: And, I never would have guessed, the team he's given up the most homers to in his career is Baltimore, not Boston.

Also, he's only given up back-to-back home runs once.

A great couple of days. We seem to have their number for the first time in many many years. It's so much fun beating them.

I see that the blocked Dutchy rejoined the forum after the second win. The fun is over. I'll guarantee that his first post was a snide shot at one or more posters. Lol! But the rest of us are negative! Lol!

If I'm on ignore, ignore me. The point of the ignore feature isn't to allow you to be an even bigger dick.
