Its been a manic 24 hrs for most LFC fans, I'm going to bed now, but just wanted to thank Dojii for his info, and to apologise for all those trolls that came on from our rival teams, I backed off from posting when all that started. Anyhow I've had a look around other threads and have a real fondness for your team now, your a passionate bunch, pretty much like lfc fans. Who knows I may even start to try to understand baseball, I understand cricket, which is the daftest sport on the planet btw.

Looking forward to a long lasting relationship between our fans, and hopefully lfc may play a pre season tour in the US.

Head over to YouTube and search for "ynwa barcelona" .. Then you'll find a pretty nice vid of Liverpool fans singing "You'll Never Walk Alone", the Liverpool anthem, at Anfield (the home ground) before a match vs Barcelona a couple years back. :)

I got into soccer (or football) a few years ago. After a lot of research I decided to go with Tottenham Hotspur as my team. Didn't want to go with one of the Big Four, and Spurs had a lot of exciting players on their team.

Don't hate me Liverpool people.

Also, one of my best friends is a huge Liverpool fan and went over to England a few years ago and someone gave him a free ticket to a Liverpool/Arsenal match. It was the one where Peter Crouch had a hat trick.

Sox Fans - The burning of the Stars and Stripes is unforgivable. Unfortunately we have a few mentally challenged people here in Liverpool who have difficulty separating the individual/s from the Nation. Unfortunate, but hey every Country must have them. A lot of our guys have fought alongside their American brothers in Iraq and Afghanistan, quite a few, some from Liverpool, have paid the ultimate price, so when most of us here see the American flag being burnt by the morons it also causes us embarassment and outrage. Regardless of the negativity of some people it looks like there are more in favour of Liverpool becoming a part of NESV, and I hope we can become firm friends and partners. I've been to Fenway and was made most welcome, "DIDNT KNOW YOU LIMEYS LIKED BASEBALL, COME FOR A BEER AFTER THE GAME". One day I hope to reciprocate.......

That's not a too shabby first game to watch! ;)

Got to page 18 of this thread and have given up. Really sorry about all the crap you Sox suporters have had to put up with today.

ALL premiership clubs have their deluded internet warriors and fair play you met a few today.

The flag burning was a few retards turning up to a SoS protest. I wouldn't put is past a certain "newspaper" to have sent them in to do it, just to get the piece. Did anyone ever recognize the morons? Even the SoS's most extreme militant crazies wouldn't have done it, and SoS condemned them ofr their actions, and make efforts to distance themselves from these scumbags.

The reason I despise clubs like Liverpool and Manchester United is because they want a magic wand answer to all their financial woe's. Some big benefactor to throw money at the team and buy expensive players from all over the world for their shallow supporters. What planet are they living on? They should be like my club, work hard year after year to improve with limited resources and never over spending. Using their youth system to bring through player after player. That's why Chelsea are the successful and viable club they are today.

As a proud Liverpool supporter, I am proud to be associated with the Boston Red Sox.

However I do have to confess to being a Cleveland Guardians fan; this due mainly to the fact that I was a regular at 'The Jake' during my three year stay in Ohio. Suffice to say, I was 'gutted' when Manny Ramirez left Cleveland for the Red Sox in 2000.

I spent several years in the USA, both in Ohio and Tulsa, Oklahoma where I studied. I have been fortunate enough to have travelled extensively around the country, and one thing that is consistent wherever you go in the country is that everyone is generous to a fault, extremely accommodating, and generally quite friendly toward the Brits. And interestingly enough, each state is unique in its own way. In my opinion the USA is still the finest in the world and I do still have friends there who I regard as being family.

Which is why I was outraged at the (isolated) flag burning episode. I remember the Liverpool forums being full of people absolutely mad and bewildered at what they had seen. There was a hell of a lot of anger directed towards the idiots that did it and it was only right that they got arrested. I really hope that one or two idiots do not tarnish what is a great relationship between two countries.

But please don't be fooled into believing that this has only happened in Liverpool. It also happened in Manchester last year when Manchester United supporters were protesting against the glazer's ownership of their club. Here, riot trained police officers had to stop angry supporters from getting to one of the sons of the Glazer family and so it would be unwise for fans of that club to comment in the way that they are. As the old saying goes, 'People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones'. But again this was an isolated incident committed by a couple of Manchester United's idiots, and I am sure that it was met with equal revulsion by their supporters.

The Boston Red Sox not only has a very proud tradition, it is also arguably the best baseball team in the USA today. As a supported of Liverpool Football club I am extremely proud to be affiliated with such a great sporting institution. Boston is also the home of my favourite beer.....Sam Adams!

The Red Sox fans can feel proud to have been affiliated with Liverpool Football Club also. Although recent times have been tough, we are still the most decorated club in Great Britain and our fans are renowned for our great anthems and sporting fans. We have a huge fanbase the world over, and our own website has more daily hits on the internet than any other football (sorry, soccer) club in the world. This has inevitably attracted some petulance from supporters of other clubs down the years, as some of the posts in this thread would suggest.

I hope that this day treats you all well in The Bay State and I'm looking forward to our close future relationship.

Hmmm, a rent boy whos first post defends Liverpool and second post is the biggest crock of on this thread. And thats some crock if you've been reading this thread.

Don't trust the posts. Some of the nuttier 'pool posts are mancs in disguise. They were joking about it on one of their forums. I guess they stopped service "prawn sandwiches", so they've nothing better to do.

Can we stop spouting this rubbish please? Glasgow Rangers were the last time I looked, and by a country mile. Granted, the Scottish league is rubbish, but if you want to count trophies in a pissing contest, at least qualify them properly.

Thought so. Rangers:

League title: 53

Cup winners: 1

Scotty cup: 33

League cup: 26

You can combine Liverpool's, the mancs and Arsenal's haul, and you probably wouldn't reach those numbers. They're not so good in Europe, just like London clubs :D

Good job on the whole reading part. The defending part of Liverpool was when I stated Manchester was just as bigger shithole as Liverpool,

Ah come on, its late. And if your not half cut at this time of night you might as well be in bed! I'm pretty sure they ment England. But that is an impresive tally they've got. Is it more than Celtics out of interest?

Your joking!! Dont tell me you was serious about being the "most viable"!? Sorry for my mistake, I honestly thought you was joking. John Terry and remind me again of the other home grown rent boys.

And so' date=' like, what is "half cut"? Drunk?[/quote']

Spot on. Half cut = fully drunk. And a prawn is a shrimp (or vice versa).

And just in case rent boy = Chelsea fan, player, owner, manager and so on.
