"if Liverpool can get into top gear again there is no limit to the city's potential. The scale and resilience of the buildings and people is amazing – it is a world city, far more so than London and Manchester. It doesn't feel like anywhere else in Lancashire: comparisons always end up overseas – Dublin, or Boston, or Hamburg." – Ian Nairn, 1967

You're on SkyNews. (I cant the link because I am new)

Hello, I do not really support Boston Red Sox, I am a Liverpool FC fan: I am excited to see us work together; that and my PE teacher's favourite hoodie being his Red Sox one (he's a Manchester United fan).

Who knows I might start watching baseball? I feel a connection with Boston. Boston Celtics (celtics being Irish like me) and also the Boston Bruins came to Belfast, which was very nice of them; to play a game too! And now this, I love Boston!

Go and suck Malcom Glazers balls.

And there we have the charm of Liverpool supporters. Classless club and supporters. (And obsessed with Malcolm Galzier?)

The impact on the Red Sox will not be good.

Listen, my friend, you seem to be confusing "facts" with opinions. We could look back into history and observe my favorite English club's fortunes.

Aston Villa CREATED the world's favourite game - league football. Tey were Englands NUMBER ONE, MOST SUCCESSFUL club for trophies won for EIGHT DECADES! What happened to them?

In the 1950's and 1960's they were saddled with a series of awful owners that nearly wiped the club from business. They were relegated to Division Two ad then Divison Three. Now, unlike Liverpool, Villa's fans took this on the chin. They did not issue death threats, they did not insult a nation and burn flags. With class, pride and dignity they got their act together rebuilt and got the club moving up again to become CHAMPIONS Of EUROPE only twelve years after being in Division Three!

Listen, "Slasher" (and your name tells us all we need to know about your football club), Liverpool and its fans have behaved with a total lack of class in this whole matter. They seem to think they are above the rules of competition and laws of the game. Of course, the club has some good fans, but as a body, they are militant, arrogant and represent everything that is rotten in socccer.

Burning the US Flag takes the biscuit.

Sorry, pal. Liverpool are basket case of a club. It's fans have been responsible for some of the lowest points in European soccer history. The day the Red Sox are bailin' such anti-American psycopaths out will be a cold day in hell!

Well, where do I start on this.......

Firstly, you are no "Friend" of mine! FACT!

Secondly, you know sweet f*** all about me, my name or what I am a s a person! FACT!

Now, I could search the web for Villa "truths" and come up with the same Wikipedia facts about Villa as you have. I don't need to as a Liverpool supporter, those things are bred into us.

It appears to me, a non-fact on my part, that your "Irish" is as the Americans like to call, "Irish-American". Myself, I am 100% Irish, born, raised and educated there and eventually emigrated to the USA. So from what you post, you actually KNOW f*** ALL about "Sawcur" from back across the water. Especially with the comments regarding Liverpool, the fans and in fact actually anything you type.

Now, saying that, I like many from "back home" are reared on Football and it becomes part of your life and soul. Breeds passion. Something I have YET to find with regard to sports fans over here to the same extent. Those closest to me don't even understand.

There is nothing anti-American about Liverpool fans. Some are wary yes of another American coming in to run/own the club. But who would not after having the previous leech, Tom Hicks.

Your vitriol towards my Club, Liverpool, shows that there is less class in a "supposed Aston Villa" fan than most of the new posters on here today that support Liverpool.

Leave your "bitter" spewing at the door, I don't think it is warranted here!

Oh yeah, you are "ALSO" not my "Pal".

A previously used word, DOUCHE, suits you fine!

Manchester fan. Really? You can't base 1 person on a whole club can you? If we were all like that then we'd think all Americans are like our old owners. <_>

Get a grip of yourself, you aren't half ridiculous.

And in regards to what you were saying about Villa, lol. Liverpool are the MOST successful British club in history and have one of the most passionate fan bases around.

Also, read my reply to your earlier post, then go read up about the points you've previously made.

Hey all, just registered to give you a heads up on what might be happening regarding idiots posting here and arguments. (sorry if it's already been mentioned too.) One of our two biggest rivals Man Utd, have a thread about the sale on one of their forums, RedCafe.net. It's on that site under Football Discussion > Football Forum > Liverpool on brink of being sold. You'll see them going on about this forum on there, and generally being muppets. (although some of them seem sound.)

So at a guess you've probably got a few of them over here stirring things up and causing problems. Most of it probably results from bitterness, as we might actually have decent American owners if this sale goes through, while their own American owners seem intent on trying to pass the billion pound mark in debt before sending Man Utd into ruin. Which even as a Liverpool fan is something I'd loathe to see, and I hope things turn out alright for them, (don't want to see any club end up like that.) but I'm not going to sit around watching problems between you guys and ourselves because of a few Manc wind up merchants.

That's a disgrace of a post, thought you might have joined today and only have a few posts before I checked. You're either a seriously ignorant and out of order person, or just another Manc on the wind up. (am guessing Manc.) Not answering you back though, am done with this post hopefully. If you mean what you said there you need to seriously start using your brain and learning a few things.

Delete all the posts from the trolls maybe? They're derailing the whole point of this thread. I'd like to thank all the Red Sox fans, especially Dojji that have helped us Liverpool fans with a little information regarding John Henry and what he's like.
