what a waste of $82.5 million

He was pretty integral in a championship. He's sucked balls this yr. Knowing AJ and his ridiculous Jekyll and Hyde nature, he'll come out gangbusters next yr

Just remember you said this when people say something similar about Beckett, because he's pretty inconsistent too. Keeping with the theme, if you shoot those notions down, your consistency goes out the window.

Kay is trying to attribute it to the wind blowing out. All homers thus far have been bombs

Kay is worse than James Carville when it comes to spinning things.

He's somewhat objective on his radio show. I have actually been surprised to hear him hammer away at the Yanks on his radio show. On the game telecasts, he's a complete homer.

That makes it sound like he's a puppet for the man signing his check, which makes it even funnier, in a pathetic sense, to me.

Don't turn me into a Kay defender, please? I hate the guy, but sucking up to the ownership for a paycheck is never a bad idea.

Do you really listen to his radio show? I have also heard he's less of a homer on that. Sterling and Waldman are an embarassment to the NYY organization.

Oops meant that question for a700 I think. Duh.

I can buy not being critical, but blatant BS excuse making, like "the wind is blowing out" is a line I think he can refuse to cross (and get away with it). I realize this is speculation, but if I was a media personality, which Kay is, I'd draw the line there if I was approached by the company with content like that (which I realize may not be happening at all).

I did listen to his radio show. Almost seems like he smokes so much Yankee pole on the broadcasts that he needs to regain his dignity by being the exact opposite in the morning. Regardless, he's a douche however you slice it. I agree about Waldman and Sterling. They suck

Nunez is showing a good batting approach today. Would love to see him walk more' date=' but his ability to go the other way will help him in the long term[/quote']

4 rbi so far. Nice fill in for Arod.

I don't listen to it regularly. I have had the misfortune of being stuck in a car or just bored out of my mind that I listened to him a few times. I was shocked that he was being critical of the MFYs.

He's gonna be a starting SS in the bigs in short order. My concern is that Jeter's presence is going to force us to move him. He provides better D, more range, much more speed and just as much hit ability as the captain. Jeter walks more and has more power, that's about it

I hear ya. I listen to Dan Patrick, Steven A Smith pretty regularly at work. I used to think my mom was nuts for listening to talk radio and now I'm a junkie:lol:

The White Sox suck.

Berkman is set to play a couple games of a rehab assignment. He didnt need the 15 days initially, but with ARod being hurt, they couldnt play 3-5 games undermanned. I also like the idea of giving him a few extra days of rest. If he could finally be healthy, we could get quite a return with ARod, Berkman and Pettitte due back in a 1-2 weeks or so
