The Red Sox are not in this World Series... are they? They didn't even make it to the ALCS. Haap will not get a start in this World Series.

A) Even with Lee, if you don't score, you don't win, champ.

B ) I didn't know you were actually Charlie Manuel in disguise.

Because your hitters aren't good, you shouldn't pursue really good pitchers? That doesn't make sense. If your offense is weak, pitching and defense is more crucial to success.

Have you been drinking?

What that means is that the reason the Sox didn't make it out of the ALDS is because the offense sucked cock.

Lee wouldn't have made a difference if they're hitting like the Royals, but you choose to conveniently ignore this to back up your argument, which doesn't hold any water.

A shutout in game 3 would have helped extend the season even with the sucky offense. What the hell are we arguing about. The Sox are home on their couches like we are. They (the players and the organization) didn't get it done. The Phillies and the Yankees got it done. There's nothing to argue about.

Yeah, you are right. The Red Sox are the best organization in baseball. What am I thinking? It was just injuries, bad luck and terrible umpiring that ended our season.

That's the spirit.

I think we are kidding ourselves if we think that we can overcome the Yankees next season with a healthy Dice K, Wakefield and a full year of Buchholz without any other major acquisitions.

Adrian Gonzales and a fifth starter.

Would that be enough for you?

Does anyone know the betting odds on tomorrow's game. Tonight the Phillies and lee were getting 1 1/2 runs. I went with that. The Phillies should be getting at least that with Pedro pitching... maybe even 2 1/2 runs. At 2 1/2 runs, they would be a decent bet.

If you get AGon' date=' Halladay and Felix are no-nos.[/quote']I can understand that we wouldn't have enough to get Felix, but I can't believe the pirice will be very high for Halladay with only 1 year remaining on his contract. They have to move him like the Twins had to move Santana. We may have to part with the immortal Aaron Bates. I'm excited about that kid. We haven't seen a kid like him since Jeff Bailey.

Let me tell you what really sucks.

Not only did the Yankees lose the game....but Utley's second homerun...I dropped it. No one around me, but he hit a laser, and it went off my hands. Watch the replay, I'm the one in the light brown jacket and the gray hoodie.

f***.

Yes.

My hand still hurts right now. That's how hard he hit that f***ing ball.

It really caromed off your hand. I would have kept the ball. A Home Run ball in a World Series, hit by a potential Hall of Famer is special.

Honestly, I was afraid someone would bump me and it would hit me in the body. No one was even close to me. I should have had it, no excuses, but oh well.

Not many people can catch a 400 foot laser barehanded in the cold and rain. I didn't.

Not that it really matters, but Hughes didn't speak to reporters for the second time this postseason. He really has not been good.

If the Yankees have a lead after seven innings in game two, game three, or both, they have to go straight to Rivera.

Your team lost and you dropped a World Series HR ball.

For all Red Sox fans on this board that you regularly use to gloat and taunt other people may I formally say Boo. f***ing. Hoo.

I honestly don't care. I just thought I'd share it since it was actually quite funny. You're too stupid to realize that.

I would have kept the ball as well. I got a foul ball souvenir from Marquis Grissom - after the ball hit my stomach. Went right through my hands. Very embarrassing.

Love the Philadelphia headline of "Ut-Lee."

I've never caught a fair ball, caught one foul on the fly, and dropped one and recovered it.

The one I caught I am quite proud of. I was in the stands near the third baseline at a Pirates-Cardinals game at PNC park a few years ago and caught a foul, barehanded over a railing with a hot dog in one hand and a girlfriend practically draped over half of my body.

I wrote on the ball so I would never forget. Pitcher: Ryan Vogelsong. Batter: Edgar Renteria. June 1, 2004. 1-1 count.
