So her hearing is more sensitive to some noises and oblivious to others?

Yeah, it's crazy. So she can't hear you, but you'll hurt her if you raise your voice. Can get REAL frustrating.

the guzman pick makes me feel A LOTTTT better about the jeter pick

It shouldn't, since Guzman can catch the ball.

Oh, and great pick with Inoa, he's had some health problems, but that kid has star written all over him.

Anyone seen Guzman's PECOTA card? Don't get me wrong I like PECOTA and Baseball Prospectus as much as anyone, but...

2009: .323/.361/.454

2010: .316/.357/.436

2011: .321/.359/.437

:what:

I know I'll get some heat for the Beltre pick... my rationale is, up until this season he had been a fairly consistent .800 OPS and 20 HR guy. Hitting tendencies aside, he is a great fielder and keeps the seat warm for Vitters.

So who has the best lineup?

My top 3:

1. Charlestown Chiefs - Sorry, no one touches my lineup in terms of depth IMO. When you can hit Loney 8th and Rowand 9th...man that is just an incredibly deep lineup.

2. DipreG - I think Bartlett's playing a bit over his head this year and Ludwick is a late bloomer, but if these two continue to have success, this is probably the 2nd best lineup in the game.

3. ORS - Love the youth of his lineup, think it's got a chance to really grow and flourish (although I still hate him for yoinking Gamel when he was my next selection)

I agree on Kilo and DipreG as the top two. I like ORS and BoSox21, and to be honest I think mine will be very good when it's done (it's not).

WhiskeyBreath is one of my nominations for the future--he has Justin Upton and Matt Wieters who will probably be two of the top ten or so hitters in baseball.

five years from now jeter and manny will have fallen off the table.... who else, i've already said those to have no hope to be in my lineup for five years. thats where a-rod, moustakas and ss to be named later come in.

personally i like jacoby's and bosox 21's over the five years

Have to disagree with your assessment of your team. Wood is unproven. Choo's situation with Korea is still unresolved. Loney doesn't have much power for a first baseman. And Quentin seems like he might be spending a lot of time on the DL.

DipreG has a good lineup. So does Yankshater213. Murphy and Bourn are the only question marks. BoSox21 is decent. Jacoby's looks promising but is still incomplete. Same with Whiskeybreath. Coco's is decent. Chipper Jones and Chris Young are the only question marks.

I like my lineup. Pretty balanced. Proven players. Nobody is too old. Wells is probably my only question mark. He's about as inconsistent as they come. Could use a little more speed.

You've got some question marks. Maybin is unproven. So far, A-Rod hasn't been the A-Rod of old sans roids. Could also happen to Manny, who is old. Salty still hasn't put it all together yet. Jeter is also old.

Have you seen Wood's MiLB numbers?

The military situation with Choo is a valid point but it's possible it's a non-issue. It wouldn't happen til after 2010 anyway so i get two awesome yrs out of him and by then Schafer could develop into something special.

Loney doesn't have much power for a 1B but he's there for OBP and defense, besides he's hitting 8th. Pujols more than makes up for Loney (who sported a 137 OPS+ in 2007).

Lol i'm hitting Ryan Ludwick and Orlando Hudson 8th and 9th, so in my opinion, ( and i have stretched out thoroughly beforehand) i have the best lineup.

My #8 And #9 are, for the record, Chris Snyder and Stephen Drew. And I don't even believe myself that I might have the best lineup in the game (although I believe I'm in the top half...)

We're concentrating the talent of a 30 team league into a league half the size, good 1-9 lineups are a given.

You understimate the amount of offensive SUCK from the lower tier of hitters in the majors, mister.

Given there is only 16 teams, everyone's line up should be decent at worst. Unless some have totally missed the boat on drafting, which I haven't witnessed besides maybe the Tulo #1 overall selection:lol:

Gotta have a backup catcher. Flores is an up-and-comer. His scouting report said he has a cannon and plenty of batting potential. He's only 24. I like his upside.
