The Nomar trade was brillant in 04. This trade is desepation. Manny was raking and showed no sign of not hitting. The one area this team needed was pitching. We did nothing. We got worse. Worse. and we didnt get any talent for the future.

I don't mind the fact that we lose Hansen and Moss, neither of which really had a place on the team. But to give up all three players, plus possibly some money, to only get Bay back, seems like a lot.

Maybe tomorrow night the A's will hit a home run and some 13 year old kid in the bleachers who, due to a freak accident has an incredibly powered arm which makes a noise like a zipper will throw a rope back to home plate as the crowd chants "throw it back throw it back!" and the Red Sox will sign him for bullpen help and he will end up striking out Giambi in a huge game with some kind of eephus pitch right after his arm gives out.

Moss is expendable as we have Bailey, Van Every, and Carter in Pawtucket.

 

Hansen hurts a bit because I think he could be righted but not a big deal, especially if Aardsma is due off the DL soon anyway.

 

Kudos to Pittsburgh for picking up LaRoche, though.

Honestly if it's Manny, Hansen, and Moss for Bay I will be so f***ing pissed at this team I won't know what to do with myself. I won't f***ing watch them for the rest of the season if this is true.

 

I wouldn't trade Manny for Bay. I would hardly trade the other two for Bay. I don't rate him at all. This is horse s***. f***ing horse s***. Pathetic trade.

Bay is also a few years younger, signed through '09 at about 7-8 mill per, and has never had any baggage.

 

He's kind of like a Canadien JD Drew.
