  1. Been reading/ listening through all this sh*t/ twitter for the last day…. Good hell this organization needs some Dave Dombrowski/ AJ Preller type leadership right now. Paralysis by analysis. Just DO SOMETHING Beta Breslow. I won’t criticize, but grab a bat and get in the box and swing. Free Agency will never work with Beta Breslows logic value models, because market dictates value, and Beta Breslow scared of shadow types will never compete. Probably the worst thing that ever happened to him, was getting lucky on AB2 last year. Breslow would be the perfect general manager for the Colorado Rockies. GTFOH with this beta thinking and the effing Boston Red Sox.
  2. wait let me get this straight, you’re scared of the backslide of players at 35-37 so you want to NOT trade for a 32 year old, 1 year removed from mid 6 WAR. But rather sign 36 year old to a short term deal that hit .189 after the all star break? That’s some Breslow type thinking right there. Worried about the 2029 season right now.? Is your goal just to backdoor into playoffs like we did in 2025? And score 6 runs in 3 games and call it good? Or worse miss the playoffs completely because 3 other teams in AL East are serious about winning right now? Marte is a much better player than Suarez. Not even close….. 2026 Red Sox should resign Bregman. Trade for Marte. Trade for Contreras. Go try to win a World Series! Trade at deadline for another really good pitcher and win it in 2026.
  3. I violently (talksox word) disagree….. crochet could be like Sale. Miss 2 seasons, you have to work within a 2-3 window. Way too many variables.
  4. IMO The Red Sox + Fenway+ 80% of NESN would definitely sell for north of 7b right now. First to acknowledge I’m not an expert, but I have loose connections to 2 families with extensive sports ownership. It’s a sphere everyone is looking to invest into right now. Celtics just sold for 6.1b and they don’t even own TD Garden.
  5. Agree just seems super plugged into FO. Which is why I associate him with bad news.
  6. I listen @ 1.8x makes it a little more bearable. Speier and McAdam are my go to when I need a cold shower on my Sox visions of grandeur.
  7. I am new here, but it seems like most of you guys fall into the same category as I do. I understand we’re not gonna spend with the Yankees and Dodgers year in year out. But I’d like to know that ownership, when it feels like it can win a championship will step right on their own foot, and say “we are all in for a World Series” go right up to that $300 million number that I believe it will take for a year or two. . And your own dumbass is the one that said the window is wide open. So many like myself who had this hope in the back of their mind that when the time was right, we’d spend the money are absolutely out of their minds right now. You just made $900 million dollars on the penguins. Is it too much to ask to just cut your profits in half for a three year run with all this great talent we have assembled?
  8. Listening to Cotillo and McAdam podcast yesterday… Talking over and over about that 1st threshold, comparing us to the lowest common denominators saying “hey I mean we aren’t the Rays, we will never not spend $200m” it literally raised my blood pressure.
  9. Or scary thought they are so cheap, they think that appeases us. And they add him call it a day “hey boss how’s the yacht? I got our middle of order power bat and only had to pay 14.7” we won’t win sh*t but we can atleast control the narrative.
  10. Same exact wavelength: I’d only refute the valuation of 4b. Even if you take a very conservative estimate, and apply minority/ non controllable discount, I think you could easily get 100% of his money back for 10-15% share in the Red Sox. In 2026 maybe more considering the TV deal, baseball 30 year valuation perpetuity.
  11. Me too….. Then go get 1 of those bats from Japan, and call it a day. Are we better than the sh*t we rolled into Bronx with in October? Yes. (Which will give Beta Breslow a win @ press conference) are we better than we were opening day 2025? Emphatic NO…..
  12. Yes agree the media connected to FO, have been quietly on this soft PR case for him. Refuting the fastball data, saying he compares the Ohtani…. He’s had a tougher time establishing market, which is the only guy Breslow can ever get. It has the quiet feel of a “he was always our #1 guy” press conference doesn’t it? Enough that I thought watched his highlights, I will say exit Velo is not a problem.
  13. Tolle+ Rafaela for Marte?
  14. Hear me out….. we’ve all established it’s all about the $$ for JH. What if we sign Imai, Okamoto, and Murakami? Trade Duran + prospects for Seiya Suzuki? we know how much the dodgers/ Mariners have benefited from the Japan economy. That might super appeal to JH increase the revenue. Become the east coast Japanese team. I 100% say this tongue in cheek, but at least it would be adding some talent to the roster.
  15. Agree. He needs to stay at CF, but the problem is he had around a 600ish ops the 2nd half of last year. And when you’re getting below RS expectations out of DH, 1B and CF (2nd half of yr)it makes his lack of consistent offense more glaring. So Cora tinkers with lineup to extract everything he can out of it. I’d rather trade him (if a team values him more than Duran) because I think Duran even being much worse defensively brings a 750+ OPS and this lineup freaking needs it right now.
  16. Marte for Bello & Duran? Keeping both Tolle/Early in AAA? I like your optimism.
  17. You think Casas is back to start year? You’re as big of a cynic as I am! Makes me laugh.
  18. I disagree I think RS would sell for 7.5-9b new owner wouldn’t be able to make 120m a year in free cash flow pencil, thus would be incentivized to grow the thing via legacy/ wins/ World Series and franchise valuation increases. I’d welcome the unknown in that 7.5 to 9b sphere.
  19. Teams that win ALMOST always have payrolls in top 5. Not a science but a direct correlation or causation.
  20. Criticism is welcome, but you have to put your prediction in there along with it. i’ll start as of 12/15/25 1. R Anthony LF 2. T Story SS 3. G Suarez 3b 4. Abreu RF 5. R Hoskins 1b platoon w/ Casas once healthy 6. R Gonzalez 2b 7. M Mayer 3b 8. C Rafaela CF 9. C Narvaez C 1. Crochet 2. Ragans 3. Gray 4. Bello 5. Oviedo 6. Crawford/ Tolle/ Early/ Dobbins We will set the world record for strike outs w/ RISP, R Anthony will have an OBP% that rivals Bonds of late 90’s, as they will just walk him everytime.
  21. Insane amount of swing and miss in that lineup. Good thing we didn’t strike out a lot last year w RISP. This lineup might set world records.
  22. Let’s be honest this ain’t happening. I have zero faith in Breslow landing this plane that is 2026 offseason. My honest to god prediction: 1- sign Geno Suarez to a 2/40m club&Player option yr 2 he will bat .220 w/ 28HR’s 150+ strikeouts 2- sign Rhys Hoskins 2/20m Club &Player option year 2 he will be about the same as Nathaniel Lowe was last year. 3- we will trade Duran + Harrison for Ragans Breslow will tell us how improved we are “blah blah blah we accomplished everything we needed to in offseason” 1. R Anthony LF 2. T Story SS 3. G Suarez 3b 4. Abreu RF 5. R Hoskins 1b platoon w/ Casas once healthy 6. R Gonzalez 2b 7. M Mayer 3b 8. C Rafaela CF 9. C Narvaez C 1. Crochet 2. Peralta/ Ragans 3. Gray 4. Bello 5. Oviedo 6. Crawford/ Tolle/ Early/ Dobbins If the stars align we win 90 games, some injuries we win 85, anything like last year and we win 78 games.
  23. 1- Crochet 2- TBD (Ragans or Peralta) 3- Gray 4- Oviedo 5- Crawford/Dobbins/ Tolle or Early. thins us out for sure….
