    Probably on an innings limit. It's unfortunate, but it makes sense to me.

    I like him, but he's a Cincy regular with 2+ years left. If Cincy decides to call it a day (8 back of WC-3), he could be attainable, but it'll cost us a good bit more than lottery tickets. Certainly more diverse than Adell.

    He's a good player, and I'd be glad to have him, but I think fans are under-estimating the aging curves. He'd be with us through age 37. The number of 2026 players with an fWAR of 1.5 season-to-date: 33 -4 34- 3 35- 2 36- 1 37- 0 There is a pretty good chance we will have a kind of average 2B starting as soon as next year. At a pretty fancy price.

    Mostly the same as always. I wouldn't object to adding another RP, but the BP is doing pretty well. I'd have my eye on a RH slugger to platoon with Yoshida, but I can wait. I'm still looking for Adell.

    Run differential wins, We were +15 in the last 6 games of June and +25 July MTD.

    Coloumbe had a 0/7 K/W in his last 7 starts. Watson has a 3.31/3.86 ERA/FIP over his last 35.1 IPs, with multiple inning capability.

    The optimist in me really wants to believe that RS fans pay at least enough attention to know roughly what our record has been over the past five years.

    They need to just concede that they cannot fix him during the regular season. Get him an opened and platoon the opener based on the opponent. Then NYM seems fairly lefty-slanted, so Rivera might be a good opener. Against more righty-ish teams, maybe Guerrero.

    It's between the ears. BB players are creatures of habit and superstition. Changes to their routine spooks them. Not all of them, but not a small amount. Just for fun, take a look at the discrepancy of closers in non-closing situations.

    Duran has a better OPS v lefties over 2024 & 2025.

    I agree. Duran is not having a good year, but he's not as bad as some of the numbers. His .617 OPS is largely affected by his .245 BABIP. His 3-year BABIP is .345. Even at the lower end of the three years, his .326 in 2025 is still way ahead of his 2026 .245. Duran can be a little out there, but if this was anyone else, I'd gladly bet on positive regression.

    Seigler was a former overall #23. I don't see any red warning signs in his minor league stats. There is always a chance he could play a little.

    There is probably some NY version of Fred complaining on FAN that Cohen is too cheap.

    That's what I meant. Throwing your 5th pitch twice a game is an accomplishment. Throwing it 15x makes a pitcher very tough.

    The entire difference is Durbin. He was in a slump and came out of it.

    The updates on Crochet have been similar, with the latest coming about two weeks ago when he told MassLive's Chris Cotillo that he has been throwing with plyometric balls, but still not real baseballs. Don't know what that means, but I doubt he'd be throwing anything if his injury was serious.
