Are we really struggling to beat out Detroit for Bergman???
  2. Larry Cook
Is Carson Kelly still available???? any interest in McCann????? Or bringing back McGuire???? we cannot only have 2 catchers on the 40 man roster!!!!!!
  3. Larry Cook
Fulmer, Campbell, adams, mills, mata, and now moran! none on the 40 man roster! Seems bres-slow sees a need for depth in the bullpen in 2025!

Can Whitlock be ready to go by April??
  5. Larry Cook
Do we give slaten first shot until Hendricks gets back up to speed????
  6. Larry Cook
This is how you know your 40 man roster is getting deeper! Teams are willing to trade for your castoffs!!!! granted, we are not getting high quality n return yet, but we are clearly improving the roster!!!!

Speaking of closer, Helsey and arenado solve two problems for us. Will bres-slow decide to pursue this ????

Jones would have been the perfect pitcher for us! But I can understand the pirates asking a king’s ransom for Jones!!

Now that we have buehler signed for 2025, if pivetta’s market never develops, maybe then, he could be a good bullpen/starter guy for us.

1.) Houck 2.) crochet 3.) buelher 4.) bello 5.) Crawford or giolito (when he is healthy.) I think bres-slow has improved the rotation and the depth! Is this a playoff rotation?
  11. Larry Cook
I really like this signing! If he is healthy! I commend bres-slow on the signing. No club or player option! A true prove it deal.
  12. Larry Cook
Bres-slow should be fired if he put an offer on the table for pivetta!!!!
  13. Larry Cook
Is he their version of holt??? Isn’t this the third time he has gone to them???
  14. Larry Cook
Have we fired the idiot who thought sims and Garcia would be quality trade deadline acquisitions?????
  15. Larry Cook
Last year our LHP depth chart was pathetic!!! their choice of help in the bullpen is very scary, but at least they are building up the depth
  16. Larry Cook
If ownership was serious about competing, we should have beaten the Yankees out for fried!!!!!

Assuming yoshida starts the year on the DL! then devers with the bad shoulders could start the year as the DH! so our infield defense to start the year is casas at 1st. Hamilton/Gonzalez at 2nd, story at SS, and Bergman (if we sign him) at 3rd! Only 1st base is a dumpster fire defensively! about 30 games into the season, story breaks down faster and more thoroughly than a 1978 ford pinto and goes on season ending DL, and devers announces he is healthy to play the field! Our new infield defense is casas at 1st base, Bergman (if he signs) at 2nd base, Hamilton/gonzalez/rafeala at SS and devers at 3rd base!!! Only 2nd base could potentially not be a total dumpster fire defensively!!!!!!? This is why Campbell and Mayer need to be ready quickly in 2025!

But the last two years have shown that we need depth in the bullpen over the course of the 162 game season
  19. Larry Cook
Kind of strange that we would weaken our bullpen depth, which is not very deep, to add a pitcher that likely will not contribute until 2026?
  20. Larry Cook
    Good signing for Houston.
  21. Larry Cook
    Shockingly, pivetta is still available!!!
  22. Larry Cook
Is bres-slow secretly playing Seattle and Pittsburgh against each other to try and pry the best young starting pitcher he can away from them??? I think a lot of people here are too quick to discount the young trade talent that we have to offer in trades.
  23. Larry Cook
And why are we interested in Castillo??? He does not fit our profile at all
  24. Larry Cook
I like the Sandoval signing! It sounds like we overpaid because somebody else was bidding against us!! look at the bright side, bres-slow finally won a bidding war!!!!!!!
  25. Larry Cook
Isn’t there a deferral part of arenado’s contract that whoever gets stuck with him at the expiration of the contract has to pay????
