    There is no perfect fit for yoshida, but it is bres-slow’s job to figure out how to move him along and free up that roster spot!

    Mayer’s defense is major league ready now. at Portland, Mayer was a better hitter than Anthony. the only thing Mayer needs to prove to me in the minor leagues is that he can play a full season. other than that, he is fully capable of playing shortstop in Boston in 5 months, if story gets injured getting out of bed in spring training

    1.) ownership in Arizona wants out of the Montgomery deal. This is a good solution for them. 2.) Arenado is owed 41mm in deferred money on top of his contract. I think this deal makes sense for St. Louis.

    I only see two landing spots for yoshida that make sense. 1.) to Arizona for Montgomery 2.) to St. Louis for Arenado

    Correct, but these 3 are very very close to being major league contributors! With a solid spring training Campbell and Anthony have an excellent chance to start the season in Boston! Mayer has to prove he can stay healthy, but had the highest ceiling of all the position players, including devers, on our roster!

    The white Sox are going to want a king’s ransom for crochet. That means one of the big four plus all the usual suspects mentioned above!

    I think with the free agents, it takes one signing to put us in the spotlight! I think fried is that signing that makes us attractive to other free agents.

    Atlanta is reportedly looking for an outfielder! Atlanta has 2 pitchers in AAA that are not quite ready, but very close. maybe we can make out together a trade that makes sense for us and them!

    I have seen tolle and sandlin pitch. I do not know how they made the top 60! tolle keeps everything on the same plane! Perfect guy to get killed second and third time through the lineup! Maybe Bailey teaches him how to change eye level while still throwing strikes Sandlin serves up more meatballs than Olive Garden !! Maybe if they fix the over abundance of meatballs, the rest of his stuff looks decent enough of the 2024 pitchers, Clarke might be worth watching in 2025.

    Free agency is not always the best way to acquire pitching! There are many different ways to get pitching. I am sure bres-slow has explored many options plus he probably has some young fire baller in mind in the rule 5 draft (preferably left handed)

    Fair enough! The point is we have a lot of pieces. Bres-slow just has to put the right pieces together to get miller!

    Offseason to do list: 1.) sign free agent fried 2.) trade abreau, winkowski, Hamilton, and Priester to Seattle for Bryce miller 3.) trade yoshida, Valdez and Guerrero to St. Louis for Arenado and helsey Starting rotation - fried. Houck, Miller, Bello and giolito Position players. LF - Duran, CF rafeala, RF Anthony, 3b - Arenado, SS - Story, 2b - Campbell, 1b - cassas, C - Wong

    I think that if Montgomery can cut down on the swing and miss and get the contact rate up. He can be in Worcester by the end of the year

    2025 projected starting infield defense 1st base - cassas - dumpster fire. 2nd base - Campbell - average SS - story - above average 3rd base - devers - dumpster fire catcher - wong - dumpster fire

    I think all 4 of the big 4 get minor league invites. I am excited to see Campbell and Grissom battle for the starting 2nd base job. it will be very nice to see both Garcia brothers back in action this year. where does Montgomery start the year? Greenville?

    I think bres-slow needs to earn his pay check and convince Arizona to swap yoshida for Montgomery!!!!!

    Are we sure devers can play first base? I am not sure he can catch a cold at a pneumonia clinic let alone catch a baseball

    I believe this 100 percent. if our top 4 were Montgomery, cespedes. Arias, and Garcia that would be a very strong group!
