Pivetta’s pitching was really good today, he used the same method to hide the ball that houck showed, I was impressed. I think he used four different pitches and had decent movement of the pitches.

Why? What do we gain?

Red Sox have fired GM Dave Dombrowski

They have now reached the bottom of the barrel. All they need to do is launch madden and hire valentine and desperate Dave! -
Dalbec making things happen!
-
Dalbec has 7 taters in 61 at bats! Martinez has 6 taters in 185 at bats. Martinez costs millions. Dalbec costs peanuts!
-
After seeing him pitch, I would definitely keep him in the bullpen.
-
If we sign pillar this offseason, it makes the acquisition of Wallace all the more impressive!
-
Love what I am seeing from houck. His pitching is unique, he hides the ball really well, looks like the Yankees had a hard time picking it up.

In watching Duran play last summer, one thing I noticed is how little feel he has for fly balls hit to the outfield. Bradley is usually moving to the correct spot before the ball leaves the bat. Duran waits a while before moving and that just shows his inexperience in the outfield. Another thing I noticed is that Duran has a bit of a pop gun arm. So while the hit tool and the speed are advanced, he is not a finished product. I doubt he starts 2021 in Boston. But I like his potential if he continues to improve.

Next man up!

This is uglier than a Steinbrenner family reunion!

Hernandez makes things interesting!

Verdugo looks like a keeper! If we get anything out of the other two, that is a win so us! Don’t get me wrong, verdugo is no Betts, but he has exceeded all my expectations thus far. Hopefully he stays healthy and keeps swinging the bat well!
-
There are a lot of tears shed in New York and Tampa. No doubt, the hitters there were hoping we would activate him and they could fatten their stats!
-
Nice win today. Eovaldi looked good. Verdugo, devers and bogey are keepers! Dalbec and Martinez looked weak.
-
I have been asking that all season. His swing looks slow and he is not picking up the spin of the ball. Once a hitter loses his bat speed, it is all down hill from there,
-
Houck got a few lefties out as well. Good win!
-
Why does Roenicke keep sending Martinez out there to end rallies!
-
Any and all broke down rehabbing pitchers should be calling hang’em Chaim night and day.
-
Very impressed with houck tonight. His slider had bite and his fastball had some movement! I think bringing him for a few starts this year was a good move.
-
At least Atlanta was smart enough to sign him to a minor league deal.
-
Houck is starting to look a little gassed!

This is so true! And yes Hanley was also all on Larry as well. Maybe one day we will learn just how much Larry interfered with cherrington, but most likely that day is not anytime soon! And yes, these two bad Larry deals did screw the pooch for desperate Dave a little bit when desperate Dave was starting!
-
They used to say “you can shake any tree and good gloves will drop out, but rarely does one ever finds the tree with good bats.” Dalbec is looking more and more like the next Sam horn!
-
I agree, I think hang’em Chaim will operate one the second tier for his one semi big signing. Then it is back to the “potential upside guys” for the next 5 signings. And then the final 5 signings will be bargain basement “wal Mart specials”. Ps: Cherrington hit gold on the “upside guys” signings his first year. If hang’em Chaim goes 5 for 5 like cherrington did, we could have a better than expected 2021!
