Everybody starts the year 0 and 0. Sometimes the glass really is less than half full!

Houck is a two pitch pitcher. He barely threw his splitter in those 17 innings last year. I still think he should be in the bullpen being groomed as our closer.

Good news today: dalbec and Chavis turned two mistakes into taters. I still like bastardo’s stuff. Can he control it? Bad news today: our pitchers are still on the team,

    Hometown discount!

Talk of the angels interested in Vazquez. Any merit to this.

Talk of us bringing workman back.

Hang’em Chaim blew his wad on Hernandez for some bizarre reason!
  8. Larry Cook
Maybe we can move houck into the closer role this year. 7th inning - Hernandez 8th inning - Feldman 9th inning - Houck Could be really good for a few years together after some growing pains!

Someone said he hits lefties well. That is a much needed “plus” if true.

Finally hang’em Chaim looking at pitching! Looks like hang’em Chaim is graduating from kia’s to Chevy’s!
  11. Larry Cook
Why? 14 million for a 240 hotter? Has Hang’em chaim been drinking?

How is the virus going to impact the new cba negotiations? A ton of money had been lost in 2020 and a ton will be lost in 2021. This is not going to be pretty!

Another season of watching Perez pitch in Boston. The hitters throughout the rest of the division are ecstatic!

I like this trade. Clearly bloom had no use for Chatham and managed to get something beats releasing him,
  15. Larry Cook
I hope bloom is planning to relying on youngsters as depth players this year. Handling losing is easier knowing we are playing prospects.

    Nice signing by Washington!
  17. Larry Cook
Very sad! He was an incredible player for many years for us. Hopefully he recovers enough to live an ordinary life going forward.

If bloom does nothing else this offseason, he is still light years ahead of desperate Dave!
  19. Larry Cook
We know Desperate Dave is going to run off anybody in the Phillies baseball analytics department with half a brain! Maybe this is a chance for us to restock our depleted baseball analytics department after the desperate Dave purge we endured.

Could not agree more with your ixnay list! If we do chase down a pitcher named gray, it needs to be the guy stuck in Colorado! What could he be if he ever got out of there?

Is there a signing on the horizon? New York radio says kluber is choosing between us, yanks and Mets. I know the Mets can throw a ton of money at kluber.
  22. Larry Cook
So how many bad contracts do we have left? Martinez and Pedroia?
  23. Larry Cook
I don’t think so. Late 2023 would be more realistic.
  24. Larry Cook
I think the only “get” that the dodgers got on us, was making us keep half of price’s salary. Other than that, I think the trade was a win for us and sped up the recovery process by a year or more.

    Only time will tell!
