  1. If it is all about championships, why not keep Betts this year and see if our “bruise as easy as bananas” (aka our starting pitchers) have a comeback year! Lord knows they can not (as a group) be more pathetic than they were last year!
  2. Does Mookie become Pedroia part 2 on a long term deal?
  3. How many unnamed sources can people quote as having knowledge of this supposed deal?
  4. I think we start the season as is with this team right now. If the starting pitching is not healthy or continues to under perform, you move a lot of pieces at the trade deadline for prospects.
  5. I do not know why st Louis is not in on Betts. With him in that line up, they could be World Series bound!
  6. The real question that we need answered is the health of our starting pitchers?
  7. I do not think hang’em Chaim is really interested in moving Betts. My guess is he listens when people call, but would be content with (at best) a July deal or (at worst) a draft pick, if our pitching is living up to their paychecks!
  8. So maybe hang’em chaim should have been looking to dump jd for pennies on the dollar this past off season? Rule number 1 - do not trade homegrown players.
  9. Have the Sox asked the Mets for permission to speak to the Mets bench coach yet?
  10. Seems like everybody expects the Sox to trade Betts for pennies in the dollar, except hang’em Chaim!
  11. Hang’em Chaim has been dangling bait all offseason and no one is biting! Plan b should be to let’s get all our pitchers healthy and use spring training to properly prepare them for the regular season and let’s go take our crown back! Interesting how history repeats itself. At the start of the 1920’s we sold 2/3’s of our team to the Yankees and we went into an 86 year tailspin, Now at the start of the 2020’s are we about trade off most of our team and start another tailspin?
  12. Padres and Sox talking Betts???? Makes sense. Lots to talk about.
  13. I thought a single season suspension would be their limit.
  14. The guys on the radio said they expected him to be flown in and day now for interviews and a job offer.
  15. While price is never going to be a Media darling, haven’t we read in numerous publications that he is well liked and respected in the clubhouse?
  16. Haviland promoted to pitching coach performance. Any idea what that is?
  17. Yahoo sports reports that if a team wants to trade for Betts, they have to take price and give up two top prospects. I think I understand why hang ‘em chaim’s cell phone has cobwebs on it.
  18. Donaldson’s signing with the twins leaves a big hole at third base for Atlanta. We should have the ability to move devers and price and all of price’s salary to Atlanta for a boatload of their prospects! Not ideal, but solves a lot of problems for us.
  19. Seems like the other teams are nervous about trading anything of value for price until he can prove he is healthy.
  20. This guy appears to serve tons of meatballs. Kind of like Porcello only worse.
  21. Somehow it just seems wrong to punish Cora for this nonsense,
  22. One report says the Sox are not actively shopping Betts. Another report says Sox and Dodgers talking about Betts. Another report says sox want to add price to the Betts deal. Mixed messages?
  23. We missed out on Harris for the bullpen.
  24. The more time that goes by, the easier it is to believe that the real brains in the Tampa front office is the guy that runs their analytics department and not hang ‘em chaim! Was that Henry exiting then dragon spa in Miami last week with Robert Kraft? Could be the only happy ending those two are getting for the next 12 months!!!!
  25. Why? Because signing a free agent is always preferable to giving up prospects.
