forgive me for having reservations on the long term success of Criswell.. To me he is just another in the long list of BBB SP pick-ups this team has taken fliers on and almost all of them have failed. You can't even count Whitlock as a success at this point.
Why would Henry even consider selling? Idiot fans like us are still coming out in droves and his profit margin is greater than ever with the reduced payroll which stands to get even lower when Anthony, Tell, and Mayer make it to Boston.
why enough on Sale vs Grissom? People on here still talk about Mookie on a regular basis. the reason Sale vs Grissom talk is- is because it is relevant to THIS season. Almost everyone on here was giddy on the trade calling it a clear win for the Sox. I would say today that the only one happy is John Henry and his pocket book. It's very early but right now Grissom looks like Jeter Downs 2.0
People on here should know by now that I am far from an O'Neill fan but my issue is deeper than that. I am sick to death of all these 1 year rental players we have been watching rotate through year after year and I am sick to death of John Henry.
you are right of course. Yorke and Jordan are the same level of prospects as Kopech and Moncada were at the time of the Sale trade. Let's just stick with our current philosophy of drafting the best SS available in the draft since it has worked out so well these past several years.
the list i see today has 4 pitchers ranked in the top 12 where the Sox pick. #11 and 12 are both pitchers. There is a 5th pitcher who is listed as a 1B/P. the mock draft i saw has the Sox picking--what else-a shortstop
