    Like I said no GM is perfect but I can guarantee the Sox would be better off today if DD was still in charge than they currently are

    My guess is that John Henry informed DD of the upcoming payroll slashing and DD balked and as a result was gassed.

    have the prices for tickets, food, etc at the park gone down since Henry has dropped his spending? Never said DD was perfect. Every GM has his mistakes but I sure as hell will take him over the 2 we have had since. And one other factor to remember is that in 2019 we were not playing a balanced schedule either.

    I stand by my position on DD. JH knew exactly what he was getting when he brought DD in and that was to win a WS which he did. He was not brought in to penny pinch like his 2 replacements have been. Yes DD spends but he is a WINNER. The man has had contending teams everywhere he has been and brought in many of the young talent this team currently has.

    After tonight the Sox are likely to be 9-9 right in the mushy middle. John Henry has his payroll down and figures RSN will be satisfied with another season around .500. The fact that Hamilton is now the everyday shortstop is a disgrace. Pound sand Henry you cheapskate !!

    i agree with those who say to deal every one on 1 yr deals like Martin, Janssen, O'Neill, etc. Get as many prospects as possible given that Henry refuses to allow any big name FA signings. I would try and get what I could too for Story but that will be tough given his injury. Sox need to stop trying to simply stay competitive and truly rebuild. And then unless there are NO SP prospects ranked near where we draft I take a P with our 1st rd pick and another P in either round 2 or 3. Sox have done a good job with position players in the system but the P depth in the minors is terrible.

    anyone have a clue when Grissom might be ready? I assume he will need a long rehab stint in AAA given he really had no spring training.

    After a brief encouraging start the Sox are slipping into the reality of what was expected given John Henry”s penny pinching ways. Fear not though RSN because by 2025 or more likely 2026 this ship will be on the right course once the low cost prospects arrive.
