    Breslow has done a good job with the pitching staff given it seems he still doesn't have the mandate to spend. If I was to guess i would think the payroll currently is even lower that it ended last season albeit the offseason is still not over. I am sure there will be another 1 yr deal or 2 to come.

    it is a good complaint. i have stated that I am happy we got Crochet who like you say is young top SP but not really all that controllable. I think we gave up too much for him but I guess that is the cost. But reality is that the main reason we got him was that he only earns 3 million in 2025 while adding a FA SP like Burnes or Fried would have cost a lot more. I am upset we gave up Teel and now are very short on catching depth.

    i like Abreu and actually think he is worth more to the Sox than he would be in a trade.

    sadly we are likely wasting our time even hoping for Buehler. Sox will probably just sign Means and call it a day on the rotation.

    i would just sign Bueller on a 1-2 yr deal. He should be affordable even to Ebenezer Henry and at least has a track record.
