  1. The Sox may be on the right path but there are a number of moves they need to make this offseason if they truly want to compete for a WS. This year's team while much improved is a long way away from a WS title. Moves they need to make for 2026 in no particular order. 1} Add another #2 SP type and Bello will be fine as a #3.0 2} teach Tolle a good breaking pitch that has some separation from his 98 MPH FB. 3} Figure out who is going to be the everyday 2B 4} Improve the C depth 5} trade from the so-called OF depth we apparently have. Rafaela, Duran, and Abreu combined were 1/26 with 11k's. Simply brutal. at least 2 of those 3 need to bed traded.
  2. Gio will NOT be starting in the W/C series
  3. why?? just because he has a bat for no apparent reason??
  4. that guy should be fired or at least fined. you never make the 1st out at home. maybe Cora should explain that to him.
  5. tells the story alright. what is the record AFTER he went down?
  6. i don't disagree with any of this
  7. hopefully he opts out. i like the player but NO WAY he is worth 40 million per. At this stage I don't go over 22 million per and even that is really too high at this point in his career.
  8. are you always this negative?? You make me look like a ray of sunshine
  9. we have not really had too much success over all in that market anyway with a few exceptions
  10. i would be using Early far before Tolle. if the latter doesn't develop at least a good 2nd pitch with some separation from his FB he is nothing more than a #4-5 SP at best.
  11. Mayer would be a good choice for 3B. We should be able to find a decent 2B who hit .260-2.70 on the FA market. Remember that it was supposed to Grissom/
  12. There is just no way in he$$ we should be offering Bregman 30 million + next year.
  13. this team took off when Anthony arrived and has flopped ever since he went down
  14. Sox will likely make the playoffs but with their depleted lineup will likely be a quick out. They really miss the spark of Mayer and Anthony as well as Abreu they simply must get rid of Yoshida at whatever cost. 1B must be addressed as well as C depth. Navarez started out well but generally has faded in the 2nd half save a few brief moments.
  15. Tolle needs to develop a plus pitch that has separation from his FB or he will never been more than a reliever.
  16. i just know the current team is not near as much fun to watch as it was before Mayer and Anthony went down. h
  17. i don't think Tolle has a good enough 2nd pitch. You can't just throw 95-96 FB in the bigs.
  18. Kelley is not the answer either. Another AAAA reliever with the odd decent outing.
