  1. Agree 100%, and how will Cro Man do after the workload he had this past year for the first time.
  2. If the Red Sox can’t get someone younger, and better don’t bother. Like with Crochet give up some suspects, and stop messing around.🤭
  3. The gift from Bloom keeps on giving. Do the Red Sox really want a full time DH anymore? I don’t think they do.
  4. I just think it is as simple that Cora sees Duran as an every day player, and does not with Abreu.
  5. The main reason the Red Sox went 15 games over 500 after Raffy left was mostly to do with good starting pitching for an extended period of time especially from Cro Man, Gio, and Bello, and Not, because Raffy wasn’t there anymore IMO. Power isn’t only measured in HR, but to me that has more to do with it. Baltimore just traded for Ward, because he hit 36 HR last year, and Baltimore wants more of that. Same reason they signed TO the year before after he hit 30 HR for Boston. I know it’s hard to comprehend that just one old time baseball stat would be a reason for a baseball decision, but I believe it did.
  6. 🤫.
  7. Losing Duran/Abreu would be adding something different in another area would it not?
  8. Ryan may be an improvement over Gio, but how much so? Bregman might not get off to a hot start like he didn’t two years ago, so any improvement, or not would be TBD.
  9. I hear BTV all the time on here. Can’t you make a decision on your own without consulting something like BTV to tell you if the trade is any good, or not? I don’t throw spaghetti against the wall like you do to see if something should actually stick, and the Red Sox would actually do. Most of the suggestions have NO chance of happening like getting Skenes, Skubal, or the Yam Man a few years ago. How about trying to suggest, predict' or regurgitate what you think JH will actually do money wise. I wait until the Red Sox actually do something, and decide if it is good' or not. The only thing I said I’d do if healthy was to put Mayer at SS (everyday), and Story at 2B, and go from there.👋
  10. You guys crack me up with all this overpay talk just, because BTV says so. BTV in reality means nothing IMO. I also disagree that Crochet was a So Called overpay. Can you guys make a decision on any trades without consulting BTV? If not OMG.🙈
  11. I would say the Starting pitching for an extended period of time was the main reason the Red Sox got into the postseason. Bregman helped the first part of the season, but not so much the second.
  12. At that point in the offseason? Why did they wait so long? He could have signed with Detroit, and that what. Everyone new it was a one year deal, and now the decision comes with deciding if you want to extend him even further for more money, and a longer period of time.
  13. Who’s to say it would be a massive overkill? Your Bible BTV?🤭 I could care less if it was a SO Called overkill, or not and that includes involving Anthony if it made the Red Sox better.
  14. Yes I can see JH approving signing a Tucker to who knows how big, and long a contract, and trading 2 relatively cheap OF they have already have?🤭I don’t see any chance of seeing Masa in a platoon with Garcia let alone being in the OF much at all. Garcia has a ticket to Woo already bought also.
  15. We need a big bat badly.? You mean like the guy you touted over, and over, and over again Devers Forevers. The guy who could have, and most likely would have helped against the Yankees in Yankee Stadium in the postseason. A BIG no on Flintstone at 1B also.
  16. We’ll just have to wait, and see IF, and when he gets traded. I just don’t think his value is as high as most think on here, and wouldn’t be any centerpiece for just anyone, and everyone. Once again wants, and needs.
  17. Ward brought back an often injured pitcher. A pretty good trade value??? I’ve Already answered I have no idea what value Duran would bring back in a trade. Maybe we’ll find out, and maybe we won’t. Each team has different wants. Baltimore signed TO after a 30+ HR season, and traded for Ward after a 30+ HR season. Think HR power is what they want the most? I bet they didn’t consult BTV either. Looks like HR power is what they want, so they may take a HR hitter over someone like Duran. Wants, and needs. Wants, and needs.
  18. That’s what you took out of that that Duran is worthless?🤓
  19. Agree. Duran has 1 less year of control, which is very important, and didn’t have as good a year in the field.
  20. As I said before that obviously Baltimore was interested in the Power aspect with Ward, first, and foremost. What do the Red Sox need most in the lineup? Power, and production first, and foremost. If they can play D great, but power, and production is Most important. I have No idea what Duran would bring back. So far nothing.
  21. I think his HR power is what enticed Baltimore to go after him the MOST just like with Ward hoping more RBI would come along.
  22. Maybe other teams see him like the Red Sox do as a platoon player. Plus he’s had some injuries the past few years.
  23. Obviously Baltimore is interested in the HR power, and the 103 RBI.You can throw all the other things out there all you want. Last year they signed TO for most likely his HR power. HR, and RBI, and I think it’s just that simple.
  24. Ward would be the type of player the Red Sox would pick up like with TO. I don’t think Duran has as much value as you think he does, and Duran had more value last offseason most likely.
