  1. The Big Bully White Sox are coming up for 4 games, so now we’ll get to see if they still have the Red Sox number, or if the Red Sox will still be riding high off that 2 game winning streak.
  2. Bregman on paternity list. Sogard up.
  3. Yes, on Gio, and, because last seen when he did pitch he was a HR Derby pitcher. Bello is a key, but so is Houck.
  4. I agree, but that contract kind of makes it that way. It’s a long season, and the rotation started breaking down before the season even started. It will be interesting to see how Crochet looks too if he makes it to 150IP+.
  5. Cora said after the game last night along with usual we’ve got to do better that the team wasn’t ready to play last night, and that was on him. The WL record is what’s most important, but how they’ve played getting there is important too, and it’s pretty much looked that the team wasn’t even ready to start the season, and have looked like they have in past seasons, which is like a bunch of Little Leaguers, and that’s on Cora too. Geeeeesh!
  6. You can lay some blame on the batting woes to data, but you can’t to the same with the fielding woes. Pretty much the only thing the Red Sox have done well at so far this season is stealing bases. Would the Red Sox have been worse off today with Raffy at 3B, and Masa as DH? So far Bregman who was supposed to have shored up the D at 3B has been less than stellar with 4 errors that should be 5 if not for an over generous official scorer that had OB, and Merloni befuddled.
  7. Congratulations to Tanner Houck for making the WORST start in Red Sox history last night. He started a game, and after just 1 pitch batting practice broke out. What a performance it was.🙈🤭🤮
  8. Agree, but I don’t think Brez gave the Raf Man the contract they did to a a platoon, or utility guy either.
  9. Yes Sabol. I know at one point steals were 14-14 against him at Woo.
  10. Geeeeesh? The geeeeesh part should be about why have the Red Sox played so bad, and not geeeeesh why are some complaining about it. Batters striking out in big numbers, errors galore by everyone, and leaving runners on base when they do hit are all carryovers from previous years, and the ONLY thing that is going to stop the complaining is to play better winning baseball something that Cora hasn’t been able to get the Red Sox to do going on year 4 now, so that’s what the geeeeesh should be all about IMO.
  11. What did Brez see in this guy? Isn’t the backup to the backup usually more defensive minded?
  12. I know everyone rags on RAF Man, because he doesn’t walk enough, strikes out to much, or doesn’t hit enough, but the Red Sox season isn’t going to come down to what the RAF Man does, or doesn’t do with the bat. RAF Man is way down the list of importance IMO. Would it be great if he hit more? No doubt.
  13. A lost weekend 1-2 at the tail end of a lost week 2-5. The Red Sox big bats crushed the ball for a grand total of 6 runs for the weekend. It’s still early in the season, but the W, and L count just as much now in the standings as they will in Sept.
  14. I said before this series even started that even if the Red Sox swept the series it would be nothing more than a MEH, because of who they are playing. Now there is Nothing the Red Sox can do tomorrow to stop this from being a Lost weekend. 11 more K’s by the Red Sox bats, and another error by KC today even though the official scorer didn’t give him one. Being versatile certainly hasn’t made him a good 2B.
  15. It’s not going to stop all the K’s, but it can’t hurt anything, so any change at all is worth a shot.
  16. Sometimes a new voice in the clubhouse is all a team needs (Morgan Magic). I think Cora’s voice has just rang hollow, and this would be the 4th year in a row now if things don’t turn around. Anyone can say we need to do better. I know to some Cora is still resting on the laurels from 2018. Without a turnaround this year that will not be good enough anymore IMO.
  17. It’s everybody making the errors too. All the outfielders have booted the ball around, and I believe the Red Sox have 4 catchers interference called on them. Bregman should have 1 more error too, but the official scorer was to kind to him on a bad throw.
  18. I agree. The Red Sox have changed some coaches, and infield instructors, but nothing seems to work. You can tell by watching, and listening to Cora after games like last night that Cora is pissed off, and frustrated as hell, and he will say once again that we’ve got to play better. Nothing works up to this point.
  19. This needs repeating, because it was the same ole, same ole again tonight if not worse. More strikeouts, even more errors, and yes Cora saying after the game for the thousandth time we’ve got to do better. Now winning the next two games won’t even be worth a MEH IMO.
  20. Didn’t the White Sox break an even longer losing streak against the Red Sox last year?🙈🤭🤮
  21. I know it’s only 14 games into the season, but up to now the Red Sox look as lifeless, and listless as they have the last three years. Can anyone say K’s by the batters? Can anyone say errors by the fielders? How many times can Cora say we’ve got to play better, we’ve got to play better, we’ve got to play better? Heading to Chicago this weekend who are worse off than the Red Sox, so if the Red Sox take all three games it will be nothing more than MEH, but if they lose???
  22. Are we giving them any kind of break for the cold temps, and good Toronto pitching?
  23. The first two plays of the game last night were bad throws. One by Story, and one by Bregman yet again. Casas saved Story from getting an error, and the official scorer saved Bregman. Story’s throw should have been an easy one as he had plenty of time, and is more concerning.
  24. Oh I get why, and KC is in CF tonight.
  25. What is Yoshida doing these days?He did get introduced at Fenway opening day, but it’s like he’s vanished since ST.
