  1. Yes please more of Franchy Strange Glove at 1B.🤭🙈🤮
  2. Wrong again. Cora has already confirmed what Bloom told him.
  3. When the insubordination, which I don’t call it involves being lied to you bet 100%.
  4. Wha, wha, wha. Like Raffy said that Brez should learn how to do his job, and go out, and find someone to play 1B. You know an actual 1B. Once again the Red Sox don’t have an act 1B as a backup, and that’s all on Brez. It’s very evident he didn’t learn anything from last year. I’m 100% behind Raffy on this one, and I’ve never been a Devers Forevers guy. Go Raffy, and stick to your guns.
  5. I Love it, Love it, Love it, and Love it some more. I think Raffy is in the 100% right here no matter how many says he is wrong, call him a bad teammate, or calls him names. Raffy was lied to in the first place, and it doesn't matter who said it, or if they are still employed by the Boston Red Sox. The fact is they were representing the Boston Red Sox. if Raffy had been told the short term plan was to move him off 3B he might not have signed. They told him to put his glove away, and now after Casas got hurt they not only want him to pick that glove up again they want him to learn a new position. No, no, and no again. The best part of the interview Raffy gave yesterday was when he said Brez should learn his job, and go out, and get someone to play 1B. Priceless, and 100% correct.
  6. When the Red Sox signed Raffy to that deal in 2023 do you think they were paying Raffy $30M/yr to be a DH, or to be a DH anytime soon?
  7. I Never said that. I said it didn’t bother me. Vaz wasn’t a good enough C for you, Bogey wasn’t a good enough SS for you, Raffy wasn’t a good enough 3B for you. It’s a wonder the Red Sox ever won any games let alone a WS.
  8. Raffy always got more ink in the game threads. Devers Forevers one one AB, and Never Devers the next.
  9. Moving Raffy down in the lineup wouldn’t have been a rash decision to me, and maybe even justified at the time. Remember what happens when you get giddy especially after a small, small sample size.
  10. I’m not disputing that, or even disagreeing with that. I’ve always said Raffy playing 3B didn’t bother me like it bothered you, and others, and as it was pointed out by others on here Raffy playing 3B as bad as he did wasn’t the Reason the Red Sox have been a 500, or below club the past 3 years, nor was it why the club didn’t make the postseason. There were others who weren’t good on D at their position either, and it was the Red Sox who kept it that way.
  11. So it has been a small sample size all year when Raffy wasn’t doing much of anything, and now after a even smaller 3 game series the naysayers were all wrong, and Raffy is now back, and proven everyone wrong, and he back?👏
  12. Let’s not get to excited yet. It has been pointed out he had a good weekend earlier against the Cardinals, and that’s all it lasted. Cleveland didn’t have any hard throwers except for their BP, so we’ll see how he fairs against Toronto.
  13. NBA Playoffs, NFL Draft, and NASCAR was on the docket for me this weekend, so the Red Sox were on the back burner. Good to see the Red Sox come back, and win 2 after losing the first one. Looks like the bats came alive yesterday, and padded some of those OPS that everyone raves about. I know they look better now, but that’s a little misleading, because they lost a lot of games when they were scuffling when the OPS weren’t so high. Hopefully they take the bats with them to Toronto.
  14. I’m not disagreeing, or disputing any of this. I was just stating facts. Raffy is overpaid as a DH as Yoshida was.
  15. Agree so far, but I want to see how Cro Man looks in Aug-Sept, and hopefully Oct. yes some things have gone right, but what’s most important the W-L isn’t nothing to be happy about in a weak AL East, and a American League too. It’s postseason, or bust, or it would be another wasted season.
  16. NNN you’re wrong again. The Red Sox did sign Devers to be a 3B. That’s a fact. I kept saying the Red Sox were just playing the cards they dealt themselves despite the results being bad on D, and that’s a fact. I didn’t ridicule anyone about the idea, or suggestion of signing Chapman or anyone else, and I repeatedly said I was posting what I thought what the Red Sox would do, and not what I would do, and that’s a fact also. It also seems pretty much undisputed that Raffy was told by the Red Sox when he signed that he would be the 3B for the foreseeable future. That changed. NNN🤭🙈!
  17. I agree, and like I kept saying before Bregman was added that the Red Sox were just playIng the cards they had dealt themselves, which meant the players you mentioned. When they were all hitting it doesn’t look as bad, but when they are not it’s even worse, and just not good roster construction. They didn’t sign Masa to just hang out, and collect his $18M, and they didn’t sign Raffy to be a $30M DH either.
  18. For Raffy it’s playing 3B.🤭
  19. My point being that not every move, or a change of position is, because someone sucks at what they are doing like the situation with Raffy. I haven’t said Raffy is pouting,or that he’s not hitting, because of moving to DH, but it could be more of a WTF attitude.
  20. Bingo! George Scott was moved off 3B years ago to 1B, and was a great 1B, and the same with Youck, but neither Scott, or Youck were moved off 3B, because they wasn’t a good 3B. Raffy on the other hand sucked at 3B, which had been mentioned on here TMTC times. Every change to a different position is not because a player is bad at the position he’s moved from, so every player that does is a different situation. Raffy is not a different situation. He sucked at 3B, and the Red Sox saw that DH was the only option for him, because he supposedly can still hit, but he’s sucking at DH too at the moment. I’m pretty positive that Raffy sees this as a demotion, which is most important.
  21. They already know that. Masa could have been the DH in Boston on game 1, but it seems that spot has been taken now. Masa could have been DH anywhere else on game 1. Anthony had Nothing to do with Masa not DH anywhere else. You’re right he’s just sitting things out collecting his $18M until the Red Sox find a place for him.
  22. Celtics night tonight anyway, so nice to see two tomorrow.
  23. So he can’t hit now, because he can throw good enough.
