  1. I’m not even sure Raffy gets traded at all., but it’s just a theory.
  2. Deny, deny, accuse. Your standard operation procedure.
  3. Like I keep saying that all these Casas, Bello, Mayer, and anyone else you want to throw in there are nothing, but promising prospects with plenty of hype at this point, and counting on all to live up to expectations is above, and beyond probability, and if they don’t what then? Lucky if one does let alone more. Betts, Bogey, and Raffy were proven.
  4. You can keep polishing the turd (Bloom) all you want, and Blame others all you want too, but the turd is still a turd, and Bloom in 3 years turned this club into what it is today, which is a losing last place team, so take issue all you want, but it doesn’t change anything.
  5. I agree 100%, but Bogey was a big mistake, and my contention is that Raffy will at least start the season with the Red Sox without a new contract, because JH does not want to lose Bogey, and Raffy at the same time, so the anger from the fans will get spread out. Just my theory.
  6. A starting OF, a 3B, and SS, and Vaz got playing time at C, so that seems like more than 3, or 4. ERod was promising, and so was Barnes. Look at where Bloom has got the Red Sox today, and you think the Red Sox are better off.
  7. Not only do I believe they can, but I believe they will. Why would you think Bloom would not do that?
  8. 5 short years ago the Red Sox had their best season ever, and won a WS. The team was loaded with young homegrown players, and the future looked real promising. Now there is just one of those good young players left who is most likely out the door after this year, and this is where we are at today. Definitely steps going backwards, but some seem to be alright with that.
  9. First Mookie then Bogey, and next Raffy. Doesn’t seem like a good way to go to me, and then to pin all the hopes on the Casas, Bello, and Mayer to be just as good. Doesn’t sound like a winning formula to me.
  10. Xander who? You mean the future HOF who won two championships with the Red Sox, and was a model Red Sox on, and off the field. A future HOF is who!
  11. Who said anything about Bloom throwing money around? I said the Rangers didn’t have a clue what they were doing like Bloom doesn’t have a clue what he was doing. Money, or no money.
  12. Like I say all the time that what matters is now, and not what might happen 2-3 years away.
  13. I’m not saying I like Story at SS, but like I said weeks ago when many of you were speculating what SS the Red Sox would get I said I’m not so sure they would get anyone, but Story to play there if Bogey didn’t come back.I have said the Red Sox signed Story to play SS, and that’s what I believe, and I said he shouldn’t have been signed if he wasn’t physically able to play SS.
  14. You said the Yankees were not better off money wise, and I said they didn’t care at the moment. I also said that not all teams care about the dreaded tax line at the moment.
  15. We shall see.
  16. Would Verlander have gotten a five year deal? I wouldn’t have signed DeGrom either, but the Rangers are just throwing money out there, and I don’t think have to much of a clue what they are doing. You know kind of like Bloom.
  17. The Yankees are going for it now, and that’s all that matters at the moment. If they pay later then good for them, but if they win now it’s bad for the Red Sox.
  18. Baseball is just going back to the way baseball was played on D for the most part for 100+ years, and some are acting like OMG what are we going to do now. The Red Sox have had plenty of 2B who didn’t have the range of Petey, or Story. They would be alright with Arroyo at 2B, which I still believe is the most likely outcome for 2023.
  19. It’s only a worse financial situation if the Yankees care about that. I know it’s hard to believe that not all teams do.
  20. Come on man! Turner s not going to the bench anytime soon for the Boston Red Sox.
  21. Verlander at his present age is just a short term fix. Big difference.
  22. When players start getting up in age especially a pitcher I think the last year is more relevant.
  23. Like I said if the money was the same I believe the Red Sox would have taken Wacha over Kluber.
  24. How many years for DeGrom, and how many years for Verlander? Not even close to being the same thing.
  25. They signed Judge, and I’m sure for a lot more than they wanted to. JH would not have done that.
