  1. We have no other option, but to wait to see how things shake out, but it would be nice if more was done than what’s been done already. Things should start to pick up after the Yam Man signs.
  2. Trade deadline? Next winter? Maybe later? Wow, Wow, Wow! After two losing last place in the Div finishers, and you don’t get that what’s most important is now, and making the team better is now??? The team has to be made better now, and it doesn’t matter how it’s done, and that includes trading prospects, and yes even top prospects if that’s what it will take.
  3. I’m not counting at all on the Red Sox getting The Yam Man. The Rays always manage to come up with enough pitching. The Jays missed out on Ohtani, so they must have plenty of unspent money to do other things. The O’s are young, and what a waste if they don’t do much adding.
  4. There is NO MOVE more important than getting some SP. like they said on the MLB network if the Red Sox don’t improve the SP now the rest of the Div, which is already ahead of them will just run away from them even more. The future is now, and the biggest need is now.
  5. The Betts deal will be relitigated long after Betts is done playing. They still talk about the Babe, and Mookie is the next best thing.
  6. I know you are hung up on the $4M, but I don’t think it had anything to do with a Dugy being traded. I believe Cora had a big hand in the trade as well, and it was just to get him out of town.
  7. Dugy was one of the best players the Red Sox had the first part of the season last year, but went into the tank the second half. He’ll be on a contract year, and I expect him to have a good year next year, but either way the Red Sox, or the Yankees would not resign him. He’s more than a glorified platoon player that one has called him on here.
  8. I don’t think the main reason of getting rid of Dugy was a trade itself, but to just get rid of him, and the return was secondary.
  9. Not the same kind of haunt. The Cardinals yes.
  10. The Red Sox are not going to outbid the Yankees, or the Mets as is, but JH should just go full throttle, and let the next owner of the Red Sox worry about the results.
  11. Exactly. That’s how we got Sale, and Kimbrel, and even Pedro for that matter.
  12. I think Dugy will come back to haunt the Red Sox in those Pinstripes.
  13. The Yam Man’s price tag has certainly gone up thanks to Ohtani, and now we wait , and see how much. Then Snell, and Monty’s price tag will go up, because whomever ever lo#es out on the Yam Man will most likely shift their attention to them. What a year to be a FA starting pitcher.
  14. Yes I’m all excited about the anticipated prospect that the Red Sox are going to outbid the Yankees, and the Mets for the Yam Man, and then on top of that add Monty too.🙈
  15. According to Rosenthal the. Yankees, and Dodgers have made a trade, which hasn’t been announced yet to clear roster space for the Dodgers to add Ohtani, and Kelly. Great for the Yankees to help the Dodgers out.
  16. Who knows what Red Sox OWNERSHIP wants, or if they even know themselves. Most likely Breslow wouldn’t even be here in the first place if all the potential candidates hadn’t turned down even the chance to interview. On a day when the Yankees are meeting with the Yam Man JH, and Co. are talking about the PGA tour. What a look all the way around.
  17. Who knows if his best days have come, and gone, and none of those good days will be with the Red Sox.
  18. I don’t think a few posters on talksox showing their displeasure about not getting Ohtani adds up to the sky is falling in Red Sox Nation. Way over exaggerated, and it’s not like how goes talksox how goes the Nation. TalkSox isn’t even a blip on the radar screen in any kind of picture especially like a BIG picture that make up Red Sox Nation. Omg, omg.
  19. Don’t get me into this, and stop acting like the victim. You are one of the biggest ass clowns on here to watch, and see if every I is dotted, and every t is crossed, and then try to decipher a meaning. He doesn’t have you confused with anyone, and he has you pegged.🙈🤭🤮.
  20. I don’t think Red Sox saw it as a bad $140M signing, and cheaper than it would be to resign Bogey. The 1 yr extension offer to Bogey pretty much said that.
  21. Why wouldn’t the fans be more restless this winter than the last three? Do you think it has something to do with the last two seasons not only being losing seasons, but last in the Div finishes?🙈
  22. Agree 100%, and that neither the Story Land, or Raffy signings have anything to do, or a sign of which way JH will go when it comes to opening his checkbook. It was even said at the time that the late signing of Story was to appease the fans. Raffy was also the last man standing out of the Mookie, and Bogey gang.
  23. The Dever’s extension as you said had to be done, so I don’t think that is any example going forward that JH will go back to spending. You keep on saying that it doesn’t mean if JH sells the team that the buyer will spend more on the team, and nobody does, but I’m willing to take that chance that he does. It would be pretty foolish to spend all that money to buy the team in the first place, and not put money back into the team, so not just foolish, but down right stupid. Not wishing JH selling the team to me would be careful what you wish for.
  24. The problem is is not only has Yam Man’s price tag has gone up, but so has Snell’s, and Monty, and who doesn’t get the Yam Man will be after Snell, and Monty too.
  25. Agree the Red Sox aren’t a low payroll team, but it’s just that others have gone on a big spending spree, and it makes the Red Sox look like they are a low payroll team. $700M for the Big O $667M total payroll for the Oakland A’s the last ten years.
