    It means a lot if he’s throwing different pitches today that puts more stress on the arm. I agree on how he finishes the season though.

    No one knows how the FA market will play out next offseason as Monty, and Snell found out, and neither has earned the money they eventually ended up signing for this year.

    I agree. Pivetta hasn’t been on Any clear path to a big payday in FA. He’s been good, and bad with the Red Sox, and the bad part sent him to the BP last year. He’s already been on the IL this year, and the season isn’t half over. I’d wait, and see how the rest of the season turns out, and then go from there. If he can get a big payday from someone else then good for him.

    I agree that playing Basketball, and Hockey into June is ridiculous, but then again on the other side playing baseball through late October is also. The postseasons just keep getting longer, and longer, and deeper, and deeper into seasons. The World Series can go into Nov this year.

    I see the Red Sox bats come alive yesterday, and some players padded their stats to make them look better than they really have been. Duran, D Smith, O’Neill, and yes even Never Devers. Good for them. On to Chicago. MEH. Luckily the good stuff starts up again tonight. LETS GO CELTICS!

    The ONLY reason the Sox needed Price in the first place was because they didn’t want to sign Lester for half the price. I believe the 2018 would have come out the same way with Lester.

    This I agree with. All I’m saying is get back some injured players back, and hope the pitching holds up, and see what things look like come deadline time.

    Have we really seen the 2024 team yet? Hopefully getting Casas back will improve the team, and hopefully NOshida/Yoshida, and O’Neil too. I know you disagree, but getting into the Postseason should be the goal of every team. If not why play at all?

    Right, and thanks for the correction. Most of the talk most of the time is centered around DD, Bloom, and now Brez.

    It’s not so much what their record is come deadline time, but where they are in the standings, and how close they are to a WC spot. Also the health of the ball club at that time. Anyone you get rid of you’ll have to replace at some time, and what will the cost be.

    Everyone knows it was JH who let Lester go from visiting Lester at his house to saying goodbye out in the parking lot. Signing Price, and lowballing Lester was negotiated by DD, but most likely approved by JH, which was weird considering Lester could have come at half the cost.

    They could have had Lester for half the cost.

    If they would have signed Lester instead of lowballing him there wouldn’t have been a Price signing in the first place.
