  1. The Braves said he is a work in progress with the glove, and were even having him play some OF in Winter Ball. He only 23, and can get better, but just, because he’s moving to 2B doesn’t mean he’ll play better D there.
  2. Unless DD, and, or Bloom spills the beans we’ll probably never know. one report said that JH never told Bloom that Mookie had to be traded. What you, or who you want to believe fits a different narrative.
  3. It seems to be a bigger problem resigning homegrown players. I’ve said for the last two years the Raffy was signed, because he was the last man standings, and it would have been an even more of a PR disaster of epic proportions if it didn’t get done.
  4. Remember back in the old days when JH would go out into the parking lot, and say goodbye to Lester, or go on the Felger, and Massorotti show, and tell his side, and stick up for the Red Sox way of doing things? The good old days, and the good old JH.
  5. The one year extension offer to Bogey was nothing more than a slap in the face.
  6. The Red Sox didn’t get a second meeting with the Yam Man like the Yankees, and Mets did, so that’s pretty telling to me. I think they just wanted to say hello in the only meeting they got.
  7. Exactly, and that hasn’t happened yet either. Top secret classification.🤫
  8. I don’t know the details, and I should have said the Reported incentive laden contract offer.
  9. That’s what I have thought right along on the blockbuster trad option, but I’m not as confident now as I was before FA season started.
  10. I’ve always said Monty would make the rotation better, but I just can’t see the Red Sox going for the length, and money of the contract it would take to get him.
  11. We have no choice, but to wait, and see where we are in a month. I’ve been as patient as anyone not, because I think the Red Sox are on the right path back, and have confidence they can get there, but because I didn’t think they would sign any of the top high priced FA anyway. When the Red Sox showed up with that incentive laden contract offer to the Yam Man I hope it was just for show, because if it wasn’t it shows how out of touch, and incompetent they are to think that offer would get it done going against the likes of the Yankees, Mets, and Dodgers. I’m still waiting for more trades, so let’s see what Bres can come up with.🤫
  12. The Red Sox Winter weekend is a couple of weekends away. I wonder if Tom, and JH will show up?
  13. When you come right down to it they really wasn’t. It was all for show.
  14. What do you think the Yam Man’s contingent thought when the Red Sox went to them with that incentive laden contract?
  15. The whole situation stinks to high heaven. I was glad when Bloom got the boot, because I always thought he was way in over his head. If the rumor was true he had a chance to get rid of Sale, and his contract, and didn’t do it he should have been fired then. Now we get Breslow. Who knows who the zRed Sox would have picked had all the candidates out there been willing, but we all know that many wasn’t willing despite what Sam said that Boston is the place where everyone would want to be. Sad, but as we found out that wasn’t the case at all, and now Bres in the man ready, or Not.unfortunately it sounds like JH has set a budget, and Bres will really have to get created to make it work, so buckle up, and enjoy what could be a long, and bumpy ride.
  16. I think once again misreading the room to start with like think the Yam Man would be closer to $200M than going over $300M, but if they’ve told agents they have to cut some payroll to make better offers that was bound to get out, so at this point who knows how this will all turn out.
  17. Like I always say that just when you think you know the answers they change the question. TW should have been pinned down on what he exactly meant of going full throttle.
  18. 🙈🤭🤮.
  19. Maybe someone should have asked TW what he meant by h going full throttle.
  20. Like I said look it up if you really want to know by Jeff Passan July 2020. What did you really want the answer to be on why Mookie signed with the Dodgers, and in the big scheme of things what does it really matter to you?🤭🙈.
  21. As usual looking for an I gotcha moment, and as using trying to make a mountain out of a molehill, and coming up short. If you don’t believe Mookie said what reasons he signed with LA then look it up. It’s all right there. Up up on old history again I see.
  22. How does that matter that he hadn’t played a game with the Dodgers, or not. Those were his words, and said he was focused on winning, and bringing Championships back to LA. I guess Mookie must have seen enough since he didn’t sign until July 2020 to make that statement. I wouldn’t talk for him like you seem to be trying to do.
  23. Betts said he loved everything about being with the Dodgers, and focused on winning rings, and championships. Next question. How about a harder one.
  24. All it takes is 1, and he found it. Right now Boris is most likely having fun entertaining suitors for Monty, and Snell.
  25. How it turned out for Bogey now it would have been a mistake, but I don’t think anyone two years ago were projecting $280M.
