  1. Devers is the 3B. Casas is the 1B. Those are the cards your dealt. If, if, if Raffy could play plus D at 1B. Do you think the more you say it the move will be made since you’ve been saying it all offseason. Even as a fill in at 1B makes even less sense. Wade Boggs wasn’t a good 3B either until later on. Maybe Raffy will get better, and maybe he won’t, but at the moment Raffy is a 3B only.
  2. Projected 26 man roster from who. I haven’t heard Cora say his plans yet. For all we know Bobby D could be the backup 1B-3B.
  3. 🙈🤮🤮.
  4. Devers needs all the reps he can get at 3B. If, and when Devers ever moves to 1B that will be the time to get him reps. Not as a backup when he’s your regular 3B.
  5. Lot of if, if, if. Need all 3 to happen, which is unlikely.
  6. 🙈🤭🤮.
  7. I keep on saying that I think Bogey was going to get extended regardless of what happened to Mookie, so I don’t think it was a Bogey, and Sale over a Mookie choosing.
  8. As I’ve said right along I was hopeful for some trades for some young pitching. I never expected any of the high priced FA pitchers to be signed, so that was the only way to get some so hopeful, but not expecting.
  9. No to the Yam Man? It was no to the Red Sox. Anyone on here who actually thought the Red Sox ever had a chance going against the Yankees, Mets, and Dodgers it was more than a pipe dream. The rest doesn’t look to good either does it. I just want to wait, and see what the team looks like on March 28. I admit it doesn’t look to promising now, but I’m still hopeful. Maybe that’s nothing, but a pipe dream either.
  10. Ah the little play toy BTV.
  11. I don’t think so it’s been this way for 3 years now. Seems like everyone wants to move on to the next year with hopefully being good in 2026.
  12. Hell might as well trade Raffy. They can finish in last place without him just as easily as they can with him. More importantly It’ll reduce payroll too.
  13. No! I would rather talk about the Red Sox getting into the postseason myself, and not worrying about what you guys seem to be worried about. I would rather be buyers than sellers. Seems more fun to me.
  14. It seems like this same kind of discussion has gone on the last 3 offseasons. Seems to be pretty normal procedure.
  15. Wow! We’re worrying about trades, opt outs, and qualifying offers already we haven’t even gotten to ST yet. 🙈
  16. I think Bogey was going to get extended anyways regardless of what Betts did, but who knows if Sale would have. Either way I don’t think Bogey was any consolation prize, and Sale turned out to be the booby prize.
  17. And kicking into the wind. JH has been revered. He’s been cheered, and he’s been jeered. He’s deserved it all.
  18. 🙈🤭🙈.
  19. I read somewhere that out of 2B with 350 innings played he was 68th out of 74 in some kind of a D stat. I don’t get into that kind of stuff, but I take it that doesn’t mean he was that good.
  20. I said it was a big mistake to give Sale the extension the day it happened. Not, because he wasn’t good enough, but it was more likely than not to have TJ, which he did, and it went all down hill from there. One of the worst Red Sox contracts. It’s to bad, because when Sale was healthy he was a very good pitcher, but from TJ on he was healthy very often.
  21. What an interesting round table forum it would be. JH, DD, Mookie, and Bloom. Who do you think wouldn’t come up smelling like roses?🤭
  22. Some food for thought. Would the Red Sox have signed the Big G if they didn’t know they had some money savings coming from the Sale deal that was most likely in the works? They are still going to pay Sale $17M, so if added to the Big G’s $19M I can’t see as that as being a savings, so to say the Red Sox have an extra $10M to spend from Sale I don’t know if JH sees it that way.
  23. Sale came to Boston, because he wanted to win. Now Sale went to Atlanta, because he wanted to win.How the mighty has fallen.
  24. I was all for trading Sale, but just didn’t like still paying him $17M to do it, but I’m over it, so I’m fine with the trade, and will feel even better if Grissom works out.
  25. To sum it up he’ll be 23 in a couple of days, and has lots of potential.what can go wrong?
