Even though Sale has a good team behind him the big question of course is IF he can stay healthy. Maybe a change of scenery will change his luck. If so good for him, and the Braves will get even better, and could possibly get Sale for 2yrs/ $30M.

I don’t think you learn anything, and take into next year from yesterday’s game. It was 1 JV team against another JV team. Glad to see Angeli get a chance, and looked pretty good, but he’ll be back to the bench next year if he doesn’t transfer.

Well he’s young with 4 more years control, but I don’t think Yorke would do it.

Nobody knows what Bogey would have done if that would have been offered after the 2021, or 2022 seasons, but it would have had a better chance than when it was finally offered.

Agree, and it definitely wasn’t that 1 yr extension that Bloom tried to pawn off on him either. What a joke that was.

NOBODY ever said the Red Sox should have given Bogey what SD did, and if things would have been done right by DD, and or Bloom they wouldn’t have had to.

He’s had 216 AB in 2 years, but only 75 last year. Hopefully he’s better at 2B than he was at SS where they said he struggled.

Like I keep saying Cora hasn’t said anything, but my guess would be if it come down to just Kut Man, and Pivetta that Pivetta would get the nod.

Well said, and I blame DD more than I do Bloom for that one except for the slap in the face 1yr extension that Bloom offered.

Cora hasn’t said who’s going to be in the rotation yet, so The Kut Man may be already slated for the BP. Pivetta, Kut Man, Houck, and Whit are all possibilities for the rotation still at this point. Remember you always have to have someone ready to take over for Frail.

He’s averaged 30+ starts, and 160-180 innings the last 3 years, so that’s good for something.

What’s a nice #2 these days, and what is a nice #1, or Ace?

It will be interesting to see how Bello turns out this year, and with Frail it’s not a question of if, but when he’s on the IL. The rest are all up in the air, and can go either way, so projects pretty much sums things up.

I hated Dugo going to the Yankees, and I’ll say again I think he’ll come back to bite us in the ass, and haunt us. He’s got things to prove, and he’s playing for a contract, and sticking it to the Red Sox will be icing on the cake.

I get your points. One poster earlier was questioning why the fans seem more upset this year, and I think that an easy question to answer, which you did. Mookie was a kick in the teeth, and the current stretch of being a losing last place in the Div team has gone on to long, and fans want to see the team get back to being competitive, and in the postseason again now. Saying the team might be better in 2026 is not good enough.
