  1. Nobody said Gray signed a one year deal, and I’m very well aware it was for a total of $75M. But if Sale’s $27M is taken off the books this year it’s also gone for good. Keep on thinking the Red Sox couldn’t have put the $27M to better use for next year, and beyond, but I beg to differ.
  2. There are many different ways to look at the trade, and that is one, and yours is another, and mine is another.
  3. It wouldn’t shock you to se them gear up for 2036.🙈
  4. Grissom wasn’t in their plans, and Sale at $10M is a low risk.
  5. For now, and if Sale doesn’t get replaced.
  6. Is that all you got, or the best you can do to keep saying when Sale was on the Sox, which he isn’t anymore. Why make a mountain out of a molehill, or at least try to? We shall see if past history wins out, or a new beginning will create some new history will win out. Now is not the past for Sale, or the Braves.
  7. Low risk. High reward for the Braves.
  8. You can speculate on the trend, and you can act on the trend, and after all is said, and done it could be a big, win, win for the Braves.
  9. It’s 100% speculation. Didn’t Gray sign for $25M?🙈 I wasn’t just talking about pitching either, and plus the FACT that more could have been added to that $27M if you really wanted Snell, or Monty. It’s completely lunacy to think $27M wouldn’t, or couldn’t be put to better use.🤭
  10. That’s just pure speculation. If Bloom had gotten rid of Sale, and his contract when he had a chance the Red Sox would have been better for it.
  11. I’ve already answered that twice. I wouldn’t have care if the Red Sox got anything back from the Braves if they would have taken all of Sales contract too. That $27M could have been used to get something better than Grissom, or better yet better pitching.
  12. In my opinion except for the $17M payment. Yes!
  13. Or you do know what could have been when it’s done for someone else. Look I was all for the deal, but just not the $17M payment. I’m not a Sale fan, and I said it was a big mistake the day DD gave him the extension. It’s all a big nothing made up out of nothing.
  14. Bad luck with the Red Sox. Good luck with the Braves leads Sale to be a healthy boy. A change of scenery just might be what the doctor ordered.
  15. I have called Sale Frail, and always ask the question when he pitches is this a Sale Day, or a For Sale Day. All well documented, and by the way others have called him Frail Sale too. Where has ANYONE SAID that no one can fulfill Sale’s hole in the rotation? I haven’t, but it’s once again something you are making up to fill a narrative of yours. By the way was you asleep at the wheel when Cora explained in detail why he didn’t start Sale on opening day, or was you still hung up on the banning of the shift, or wondering if JT was signed for the bench. Sale is getting a fresh start with a new good team, and I just think he will end up having a good year. If you don’t like I’m hoping, and predicting that Sale with have a healthy, and good 2024, which obviously you don’t then TDB.
  16. I predict Sale is going to have a mostly healthy year for the Braves, and because of that it will be a big year.
  17. Here’s a question to ponder now that the Red Sox have traded Sale, and saved $10M. Do you think they signed the Big G knowing they had the Sale deal in the works, and used the $10M for that, or do you think something big is going to be coming with the help with that extra $10M?
  18. Mookie will still be talked about not only on here, but everywhere for years to come.
  19. In innings yes. Don’t forget to add his 41 HR allowed.
  20. He’s expected to get the Red Sox back to at least a winning team, and a trip to the postseason would be icing on the cake.
  21. Do people really sit there, and watch a game, and analyze that a so called #1 pitcher is going against another so called #1 pitcher, or a #2 pitcher is going against a #4 pitcher? Nothing wrong with it, but not something I would do.
  22. I wasn’t talking about Mookie, and Bogey, but what gets perceived on here.
  23. I don’t know what all that means, but Monty is never going to be something like Chris Sale used to be, and a top 10 pitcher in maybe a down year doesn’t mean he is really all that good. Pitching good down the stretch, and into the postseason to me made him look better than he really is kind of like Evol in 2018. A #1 starter today isn’t what a #1 used to be, but after saying all of that Monty would still help the Red Sox.
  24. Over, and over, and over again.
