Let’s remember on how much time he missed before those last few starts. I don’t think the Braves can handle Sale anymore carefully than Cora did. Did you forget Cora started Kluber opening day last year, because he wanted to take the stress off Sale, and let him celebrate his Birthday?

Create anything? I said from the very second I found out about the Red Sox having to pay $17M to the Braves that I didn’t like it. The trade was fine, but to me the payment was not. Up until that time I had been the patient one when pretty much on here when everyone else was moaning, and groaning about the perceived lack of going full throttle, and hollering sham, sham, sham. Of course you might have been in hibernation then. Complaining about the $17M is pretty mild compared to what most of the others were saying on here up to that point, and hardly an insult.

Gio admitted he wasn’t a hot commodity on the FA market, so those are the kind the Red Sox like, and got their man. He’s only expecting to stick around for a year. Of course he’s got to turn things around first.

This has been talked about all offseason, so what more can be said? 1 poster has been trying to get Cora’s attention all that time to get Raffy to fill in at 1B, and now he’s on to E Valdez. I don’t think either one will happen, and at the moment to me Bobby D would be the fill in at 1B, and 3B. I also don’t think the 26 man that will take the field on Mar 28 is all set, and I still expect more comings, and goings, before the season starts, so outside of that talk on.

I didn’t even know it was settled who would be playing in CF, and RF next year let alone who’s backing them up. Wow!

Worrying about the likes of E Valdez is just mind boggling. Talksox front, and center.

You think anything’s off the table? Remember they tried Bobby D at SS last year, and how can we forget the Franchy Strangeglove horror show at 1B.

I don’t even think anyone knows what the 26 man will even look like on March 28th. Cora may have some ideas, but I don’t know why some on here think it’s decided already. Who’s the backup 3B? It’s almost 3 months away, before the season starts. Nothing been decided, or confirmed of what the opening day roster will be.

No on Raffy at 1B, and even more so on the 5’9” Valdez. Dalbec is still a better option than these two.

It makes you think now that the Braves would have paid more to the Red Sox than just $10M for this year. They already held a team option for next year, so the fact they didn’t want to wait until they saw how he does is just wow.

Maybe Manny could come in, and teach Raffy how to play the Green Monsta.

I think Tom was just excited that the Red Sox finally found someone who would actually interview, and except the HOBO job that he just got carried away.

Devers is the 3B. Casas is the 1B. Those are the cards your dealt. If, if, if Raffy could play plus D at 1B. Do you think the more you say it the move will be made since you’ve been saying it all offseason. Even as a fill in at 1B makes even less sense. Wade Boggs wasn’t a good 3B either until later on. Maybe Raffy will get better, and maybe he won’t, but at the moment Raffy is a 3B only.

Projected 26 man roster from who. I haven’t heard Cora say his plans yet. For all we know Bobby D could be the backup 1B-3B.

Devers needs all the reps he can get at 3B. If, and when Devers ever moves to 1B that will be the time to get him reps. Not as a backup when he’s your regular 3B.
