I think it’s better it’s a 7 game road-trip than a 7 game home stand coming up against Baltimore, and Houston, or maybe they should just stay on the road the rest of the year.

Losing isn’t fun, but the prospect of what looms ahead is. That little 7 game road trip coming up starting Thursday in Baltimore, and then on to Houston should be highly anticipated to say the least. The Red Sox play better on the road anyway, so sounds like a Fun road-trip to me. Sort of like the Griswolds. Anything can happen, and most likely will.

It was just a matter of time. Bailey got way too much credit early on. Pivetta’s still the same good, and bad, Bello surely hasn’t made any big strides, and Wink has been messed with, and is not the same pitcher as last year. Houck has been pretty consistent all year, witch is an improvement, but he’s stayed healthy, and in the rotation, so I don’t know how much of that is Bailey.

Bailey coming out to the mound as often as he does is just as useless as Busch coming out last year.

Parse all the words you want, but it really DOESN’t change anything. Grissom has plenty of years of control left to play for someone else. Mayer is coming sooner than later, and Story Land has 3 more years to stay open on his contract, so I don’t see how he will have ample opportunities to win a job on the 26.

I don’t know how anyone could come to any other conclusion TO DATE. So far the trade has been awful. Down the road the trade may look better, but the here, and now are what most fans are looking at. Grissom has contributed very little at all, and the Red Sox are paying $17M for Sale to pitch WELL for someone else not to mention the Red Sox could have most certainly used Sale’s good pitching for themselves.
