  1. It may be good for business, and what you would do, and it sounds good to me, but like I said I come from the viewpoint of what I think the Red Sox will actually do, which is more realistic.I said last year when so many bought into Full Throttle I said I didn’t think the Red Sox would spend on any high priced FA, and because of that I didn’t spend all offseason trashing the FO, and JH, and crying Sham, sham, sham. I was surprised they spent as much as they did on Gio, but I kept saying let’s wait, and see how they looked on Mar 28 when the season opened, and I’ll take the same approach this year. Just being realistic, which works for me.
  2. Nobody ever said both wouldn’t have been an better option, but I speak what I think the Red Sox will do, or don’t do, and don’t get into the make believe, and fantasy stuff, and that’s why I said the Red Sox would not be in on Chapman, and make all the drastic corresponding moves afterwards, and they didn’t.Just like now I don’t care who the Red Sox trade, or don’t trade, but I don’t see JH opening up his wallet wide enough to outbid a number of the big spenders, which will be out there, and willing to do so for Soto.
  3. I’m sure they had some sort of interest, but the main point being had Zero chance of landing him just like having a zero chance of landing Soto under JH reluctance to open his checkbook very wide, which doesn’t play very well against a handful of others that will.
  4. Two players that Notin was fantasizing about the last few years to be in a Red Sox uniform, which the Red Sox had no interest in, which means Zero chance of happening just like Soto being in a Red Sox uniform, or the Yam Man last year. Come on man!
  5. Sign Soto? Who is Boston going to outspend for him even IF they wanted to? Yankees, Mets, Dodgers, Philly, and on, and on. The Red Sox had a better chance of signing Gallo, and Chapman, which they didn’t want to do. Yam Man last year, and Soto this year is just Outer Limits dreaming.🤭🙈. After Brez gets the FO all arranged I’m sure their first assignment will be to run all the figures, and come up with a landing offer to Soto with no restrictions from JH.😉
  6. Well said, and really easy to understand. Even if Teoscar only gets another 1 yr offer he’ll still make more than $28M he would have gotten fro the Sox.
  7. $23.5M compared to $14M was an easy choice to make not to mention the Dodgers are a winner, and the Red Sox are not. He will end up with more than $28M after this year also. Once again an easy choice was made, and he will be richer for it.
  8. And if the Red Sox would have offered Teoscar a bigger number he most likely would have played for the Red Sox this past year.
  9. Leaving out the money was leaving out the most important thing..🙈🤭
  10. Teoscar didn’t want Boston, or didn’t like the contract? Two entirely different things. Teoscar said he loved Boston, and it was one of his favorite teams, but didn’t like what they were offering. He made not only the right, and smart move money wise, but won a ring to boot. Teoscar chose &23.5M for one year compared to $28M for two, and now he will most likely end up making a lot more money for the two years, and beyond than the $28M he would have gotten for two years with the Sox. Smart move all the way around money wise, and playing wise, and that’s pretty easy to see.
  11. Agree on the trades, but I’d settle for Teoscar in LF
  12. Let the FA period, and the wheeling and dealing begin. I’m sure JH is just chomping at the bit to get things rolling.
  13. The Yankees imitating the Red Sox on D for that one inning was great. Good for Mookie to win number 3, and I hope he wins 3 more.
  14. The Red Sox should have just resigned Lester in the first place for half the cost of Price.
  15. Bloom did pretty much nothing with all the expiring contracts he had, and Story, and Masa were not the best choices to spend the money he had. Bloom had all kinds of different choices.
  16. 😀😀😀
  17. Atlanta was interested in Sale the year before, but most likely couldn’t get a deal done with Bloom, so the interest this past year was nothing new. It’s not out of the realm of possibility that Atlanta saw enough of Sale in 2023 to think he could help in 2024, which he did at the tune of a Cy Young season. Brez throwing in $17M was a real deal sweetener. It’s not all that hard to see that except for you.
  18. OMG! 🙈🤭🤮
  19. NNN? WTF? Who said ANYTHING about Atlanta tampering, or getting any access to Sales medical? OMG! Sale was healthy enough for them from what they saw from from him at the end of the season, and it was as simple as that, so they slicked a rookie inexperienced Brez into paying $17M to boot. Tampering, and medicals? What a conspiracy theory that only You would come up with.🤭🙈
  20. Evidently Atlanta had enough proof that Sale was healthy, and they were right. Like I said when the trade was made that I thought Sale would stay healthy, and have a good year for Atlanta, which he did. All Sale needed was to get out of the bad Ju Ju in Boston.
  21. You guys crack me up always advocating for JH to pay some of his hard earned money on another Red Sox player to play for someone else, and then going out, and paying someone else even more money to play for the Red Sox. The Red Sox already have a one year pitcher in Gio, and now you want another one in Monty, who most likely opt out of his contract anyway.🙈🤭
