  1. Every ball that inning was a shot, including the outs. Just don't ever see this guy becoming more than a filler on the pitching staff
  2. Rename Erod to "0-2 to 3-2" or just Nibbler for short
  3. So that is exactly what he does and has lost his mojo completely. Falls behind , then gives up the 3 run jack. Erod has no serious mental toughness
  4. Just don't start with the nibbling just off the zone.
  5. JDM is really remarkable
  6. A's outfield arms get another scalp. Pearce probably not in best playing shape yet for stretching wall balls into doubles
  7. Neither am I, lol. Although the triple he hit in the 9th inning rally to right center was a totally aggressive and nice swing. He's just very inconsistent on that type swing
  8. What happened to the new launch angle by JBJr, He's back to the right side rollover technique
  9. Red Sox definition of a 2 run rally---a single, a fielder's choice fail, a K, another single (which Betts admired from 3B where he stopped, maybe wisely), an rbi walk, a foul out, another rbi walk and a weak grounder. Dink and Dunk but it's a lead and Erod holds it there through 1.
  10. Nunez, Holt and Vazquez , then Bradley is not exactly a murderer's row of hitters
  11. Chance for a really big inning if Cora's favorite Nunez can come through. Of course, a foul out isn't exactly coming through
  12. Amazing bullpen work again tonight. Finally doubled the win total.
  13. 3 run lead in a game you really need and Brasier hits the leadoff batter after going to 3-1 on him. Time for a DP
  14. Beni changes his luck and gets a strong triple to score Betts. This season is back in gear.
  15. Mookie bounces the ball off third base to score two. A change in the winds of luck coming ??
  16. Swihart just hit a game winner ! Oh wait, Nunez got caught trying to run and Holt failed to walk on a ball 4. Thankfully, his defense saved a run so Brock is even. Blake Swihart hits better than Sandy Leon. Then JbJr finally beats the shift with and odd ball to the vacant left side. Now it is up to the MVP to get the lead
  17. Holt looks clueless at bat, can't catch up to a medium pace fastball.
  18. Poor throw by Swihart gets past Nunez into CF where JBJr should have had a pickup and throw to 3rd to nail Semian but Mr. Defense can't pick up the ball cleanlyThen Hol;t and Moreland combine to make a tough play, throw and stretch to get the third out with the run scoring. Barnes looking pretty strong.
  19. Benintendi is inexplicable. Betts is in the midst of a package shrinking slump that extends back into last year. JBJr has never changed, always was a chaser with no plate discipline. Beni, Holt, Nunez and Bradley hitting a combined .384. Throw in Mookie and you get to .584
  20. Time for the horseshit hitters to wake up. The pitching was no problem but no one can get a key hit. Complacency, slow Spring progressions, WS hangover, whatever. Show some spark and attitude before getting your extension done. Sale, as last year , deserved a win here.
  21. Sure wish he could hit a baseball. i have to laugh at all the electrons wasted on talkng about his next contract or extension.
  22. ack to back shutouts ?? 4 losses in a row ? Hope they pull it out in the 9th or this is a major failure by a number of guys who think they are big time.
  23. At the risk of small sample disease, there is the chance that Mookie's slump through his 62 AB's in the 2018 post season is still in effect(.210/.623, 1 HR/4rbi's) His stats after last year's All-Star game were certainly not bad, (.329/.995, 9HR/29 rbis)but couldn't compare favorably with his pre A-S numbers which were excellent (.359/1.139, 23HR/59rbis). Even ST showed a .238/.661 , 1 HR effort in 42 AB's Don't know if fatigue last year, or something technical in his swing this year is holding him back, but the Sox need him back to his prior excellence.
