    The surprising part of this extended slump by Leon is that we have seen him capable of hitting, even if at the .220 level. It seems when Vaz went out his offensive game died, but he has had plenty of time since early September to get his legs back under him and hit a few balls. He would have walked more if he had just NEVER taken the bat off his shoulder. A lot of bad pitches swings in this futile streak. certainly the defense has saved a few runs, and likely saved Game 1 for sure, but each guy in an AL lineup needs to contribute some pressure on the pitcher.

    Maybe it would be an idea to score some runs first before worrying who is pitching with a 3 run lead. And scoring starts with Betts getting 2 or 3 hits and a stolen base in front of JDM.

    Excellent recall but at least the shoulder healed. Sox haven't had much luck with knees, although Nunez played all season.

    Nunez, Kinsler and Leon all fail in the 8th to move the line. So it's up to 4 out Kimbrel to save it. Where was Holt for Kinsler and Swihart for Leon ?? Why does Nunez take strike 2 (marginal call) and swing at ball 4?

    For a laugh, save Kimbrel for tomorrow and bring Wright on for the save. Or maybe try a new idea and score a couple more runs.

    Cora will need to live or die with this one. I thought Porcello should have gotten one more batter, despite the HR risk. Kimbrel is no automatic especially on a 4 out save. Not liking this one, but good luck

    OK, 6 outs to go for each team, Sox up by 2. Which team has the intestinal fortitude to gut this one out and win. A win today makes a tremendous difference in the likely outcome of the series. Porcello in relief ?? Now that's interesting. I really hope he can get 3 simple outs. Go for it, Rick
