The amazing thing is that virtually everyone on this board, which can get a little volatile, saw that Porcello was up in the zone, prone to flyballs, had no real break on his curve, etc. Sometimes the obvious is too simple. Cora trying to save his pen because he's going naked tomorrow with Erod. You can only win the game you are playing, not tomorrows, especially in the playoffs

Hope James sticks around for a couple innings. Sox are FB hitters, in general, and suffer vs slow breaking balls. They could hit James well if they get several more AB's. Hinch dealt with Morton's ineffectiveness, what about Cora and Porcello's Porcellos. That actually 2 that went up to or over the wall.

Hard to understand the first 2 high FB's in the zone to Bregman who then fell for Rick's better curve to get the hard ground out into the shift. A good swing on one of the first two might still be flying. But out of the inning and into the middle of our order. See if Morton challenges JDM or works around him. Beni, get on base any way possible

I probably don't appreciate enough all the aspects of Benintendi's game, but I do know his arm is limited. Positioning kept him from getting Correa's hit back in timely but he couldn't have thrown Reddick out if he was 30 yards behind SS. Meanwhile Porcello is sucking wind

If Porcello keeps pitching up, Reddick and Altuve won't be the only rocket launchers. This is not the good Rick so far. He's experiencing major shrinkage

What a great plate discipline by JBJr. He really has changed for the best.

Rick does tend to go off mentally when rattled and lose his baseball mind. The HBP and 3-0 count showed that the near HR did rattle him. He needs to suck it up and be ready for #2.

Should be the out for interference, but does not clear the mind that Big Rick, in fact , served up a Porcello early. That was a meatball and Altuve showed him the error of his ways.

Maybe a #5 or #6 is his best place in the line. That was a bad AB for a #4 with RISP
