Have not understood that pitch all year. It may be ok earlier in year for Kimbrel in the 9th, but not now. Don't think it hasn't been scouted to death ??

Just think folks, that was 4 innings not 7 or 8. Long Game but Price is holding the line. Need to have the BP plan ready for 6th and beyond. Be real nice if the 1-2-3-4-5 hitters don't help Verlander and put up a couple runs.

Hate 8 or 9 pitch AB's when the foul balls fly. Gurriel worked over Price then doubled causing a lot of work for no good result.

I'm thinking he will go til his arm falls off, full 7 or 8 innings UNLESS the top of our lineup (Betts, Beni, JDM again) get to him in the 5th and add runs. Pitching looks like the way to win tonight. Hoping Price has the game of his life on tap.

getting the sense that the key Astro hitters are getting some tight shorts and will start overswinging trying to get a 3 run homer with no one base. If Price can keep changing speeds, work the edges and get the HP Ump calls, this could get to be fun.

Well, David P., a 27 out shutout gets it done and you can shut the door on history. Why do I think it will get exciting before this one is over ? Time for the proverbial 10 pitch shutout inning to get Verlander back out there quick.

And a real pro in any sport will tell you that time virtually stops, the game slows down, the noise goes away and you rely on your confidence and muscle memory to let you prevail over the opponent. The thinkers lose all composure because they do not want to be in that spot. The winners seek it out.

Win today, there'll be a new script tomorrow. The team got it done despiute a weak start by Porcello and a weaker finish by Kimbrel, saved by his OF'ers. Beni and Betts with the glove, and JBJr with the bat, as odd as that twist sounds.

He may not want to suck, but he does. If he doesn't want to suck, change his mechanics and go back to the way he used to pitch shutdown baseball. Grow some f***ing beard and get real.

Thanks. The reality is that he is lost on the mound, cannot deliver his FB in a spot or even a zone, relies on his breaking ball, not to set up his FB but to get outs, like an expensive version of Manny Del Carmen. I think his mechanics are awful and his head is empty. This game was pretty much for a ticket to the WS and he choked on a chicken bone, not that Cora should have run him into a 6 out situation when Barnes showed good command and a hellacious curve ball.

Must agree, they should now make the World Series but Craig is shot. That is inexplicable except that you can see his mechanics on the fastball are terible. he doesn't bring his arm through and finish, leaving the ball high and wide or way in. he is awful. Beni saved him, AB should get the save.
