This game does tell you a lot. Sox in a total hitting struggle, at home, against a team with a 1/2 game worse record than them. Wait until Skubal gets them tomorrow Closing in a total wipeout of a season with this crew.

Durbin was sold as a Fenway wall banger. However, he is constantly jammed inside resulting in weak popups I would say sit him and play Eaton for now. s Every time with 2 on, the next batter K's to get the out count up, no advancing runners, no situational hitting.. Maybe Fatse and his guy were, in fact, awful coaches.

Suarez's entire effort goes down the drain to Weissert's ineptness or maybe it really is the sox lineup that truly sucks , leaving them in these 1-0, do or die positions for guys like Weissert to mess up.

On a better note, Ranger Suarez who looked like a 5 year mistake in the wBC and his first few starts for Boston appears to have found his stride and should deliver a lot of effective innings. ready for the boston offensive explosion ? Never happens in the 1st inning.

Checking on Bolton's numbers, if the Red So9x can't hit him today, then all the concerns from the winter about needing bats will be realized after 32 games. The stats are not good.19th in BA, 26th in runs scored, 19th in hits, 29th in HRs, 26th in RBIs, 23rd in BBs, 29th in slugging, 23rd in OBP, , 28th in OPS. After 31 completed games, those results are not just a couple guys slumping, that is an unmitigated disaster of roster construction and preparation for the season.
