  1. No, named after Isiah Thomas of the Pistons. Does everyone realize that the Celtics missed their last 8 , 2 or 3 point shots yeaterday ?
  2. This game does tell you a lot. Sox in a total hitting struggle, at home, against a team with a 1/2 game worse record than them. Wait until Skubal gets them tomorrow Closing in a total wipeout of a season with this crew.
  3. Mayer would be a better hitter if he stopped pulling off to the right side. No wonder he misses a number of swings. I don't care what Abreu's OPS HAS BEEN. Hit something now when it counts.
  4. Durbin was sold as a Fenway wall banger. However, he is constantly jammed inside resulting in weak popups I would say sit him and play Eaton for now. s Every time with 2 on, the next batter K's to get the out count up, no advancing runners, no situational hitting.. Maybe Fatse and his guy were, in fact, awful coaches.
  5. Suarez's entire effort goes down the drain to Weissert's ineptness or maybe it really is the sox lineup that truly sucks , leaving them in these 1-0, do or die positions for guys like Weissert to mess up.
  6. Can someone now cure Abreu's hole in the bat. . Thought he could hit a little, not very little
  7. Suarez will get tired of throwing a shutout while watching the same for Houston
  8. Rafaela would not know a strike if it him But then neither would Laz Diaz
  9. More LoBs , it never ends. How does a Sox starting pitcher even stay in the clubhouse with these bottom feeders.
  10. So the LoBster parade continues with Durbin fouling out. What a weak effort. Based on last year and now this mess of a season, I remain convinced the Sox batters have real trouble ripping an MLB fastball.
  11. They can use the opener but keep the pull tab handy to jerk him back out of there
  12. Failure to win today puts the Sox at risk 9 if NYY wins ) of being 10 games out of AL East on May 3rd . Consider that , Craig Breslow. You didn't solve the OF crowd by using it to upgrade another position, Duran's value is in the dumpster for now. You are burying Yoshida now, and consequently he isn't hitting anything anyway. . Your selection at 3B is barely pulsating at bat. Lineup and batting order flexibility may be a wonderful thing, but I wonder if you have a bunch of players wondering if they aren't all utility guys.
  13. You know I noticed that yesterday, if the same sluggard is out there. makes the LF'er chase every ricochet. probably JH's grandson
  14. On a better note, Ranger Suarez who looked like a 5 year mistake in the wBC and his first few starts for Boston appears to have found his stride and should deliver a lot of effective innings. ready for the boston offensive explosion ? Never happens in the 1st inning.
  15. Checking on Bolton's numbers, if the Red So9x can't hit him today, then all the concerns from the winter about needing bats will be realized after 32 games. The stats are not good.19th in BA, 26th in runs scored, 19th in hits, 29th in HRs, 26th in RBIs, 23rd in BBs, 29th in slugging, 23rd in OBP, , 28th in OPS. After 31 completed games, those results are not just a couple guys slumping, that is an unmitigated disaster of roster construction and preparation for the season.
  16. Free swinging Rafaela called out on strikes with bases loaded. Really weak. How many LoBs today ? A lot
  17. Don't know if the Sox know it or care but they could have destroyed Arrighetti today. But DPs, and many LoBs sink them again. Story does suck
  18. Going to watch the Derby prerace so I can see some professional athletes. Phone me if the Sox make a comeback
  19. Here's why Story is failing: He cannot catch up to a MLB fastball. Too slow
  20. Good thing for Early that it is still early , However , this loss is looking booked
  21. There were many outcomes Contreras could have achieved. instead he executed the absolute worst one.
  22. Regrettably, watching the Bruins was a lot like watching the Sox. A definite deficit of scorers
  23. Sox #4-6 batters stretched Arrighetti out to 12 pitches in the 2nd, so there is that. Mayer predictably chasing a breaking ball on 3-2 that wasn't particularly close.
