  1. What helped Bello more ? A. Deferred start B. Big lead , no pressure C. Going home to wife/kids after tomorrow
  2. Bello trying his best to get 5 innings in the books. What a gift he got tonight
  3. Bello trying his best to get 5 innings in the books. What a gift he got tonight
  4. Here's Durbin with MoB Showing a new way to turn around the bad press
  5. Bello appeared to whiz through the second. Every pitch up, each out in the air. Bello used to be a sinker pitcher. Let's see how long that lasts
  6. If you keep raising these technical issues. the analysts will need to anal-yze you
  7. Moran--moron, no clue. what was the difference to Bello's typical 37 pitches to get 3 outs. But he struckout the side. Terrible effort
  8. Rafaela's 3 runner breaks a long tradition of no early scoring by Sox Moran quickly fits the mold of giving it back . Needs to get a couple more outs asap
  9. Seems to confirm that the lineups are a FO/Analytics output, not the field manager's.
  10. Nick, I think all are hoping for some magic on the field , mound and at bat that can put this team in motion. Just don't confuse a win with a steak or any momentum. There are a few gaping holes to get turned around including, can Brayan Bello pitch effectively in the face of even a little adversity . Can Durbin hit anything ? Is Roman Anthony made of porcelain ? When do Gray and Crochet return, and stay healthy. Lots to solve , but get it done tonight and that can be a start.
  11. Of all the head cases on this team, Duran is the one who may most benefit from a defined and consistent role such as LF-Leadoff. I don't think he is real flexible between CF, DH, up/down the batting order. Moving him around may seem like failure to Jarren . OTOH, he needs to produce and for more than a week . I think he imposes way too much mental pressure on him reminding me of Jimmy Piersall way back in the day.
  12. Interesting experiment, often alluded to last year. Glad to see them try it
  13. The start of a new season for the Sox? Nice thought but just enjoy a come from behind win when they looked helpless through 6. Chapman still looks powerful
  14. Whitlock finds trouble with 2 outs, often with 2 trikes. He clearly is better than all but Chapman in the RS pen, but he is far from a closer type. Does what he can , mostly well but can be hit.. Uses a lot of pitches per his appearances.
  15. Credit where it is due. Abreu picks up a run which undoubtedly will be needed with 9 outs to go.
  16. Miracle hit by Duran to grab the lead. I stopped watching thinking the rainout would be there. Now who is going to pitch at least the 7th in front of the stalling Tigers
  17. Sox get shutout out and shat on without Skubal lifting a finger
  18. Truth is that it doesn't matter how you lose, just that you find ways to lose and pursue them .
  19. Defense, run prevention and off season pickups come through again.
  20. Keep in mind that Tracy was the manager at AAA for the guys who came up through the RS system . He looks beaten in the dugout . Maybe he is the reason that none of the young players have ever matured very much into above average players
  21. Another LoBster parade . Thanks Mayer. Swing at breaking balls watch a near center cut pitch go by.
  22. Slight wrist discomfort. Assume Roman did not try football as a second sport
